An out-of-the-way stopover in the Dalmatian archipelago, Vis island is located off the coast of Split. Its second harbour town is Komiža. You get there by boat only, from the crook of a bay surrounded by green summits. In the harbours, falkušas gently sway in the breeze. These fishing boats are part of Vis heritage. You can find out about all about them in the Fishing Museum. All around the island, there are many creeks with excellent swimming in clear waters. You will certainly be charmed by Srebrena creek, with its shoreline shaded by oak corks and maritime pines.
