Born in Chile on December 29, 1991 and currently in France, Diego began his musical career when he was 14 in Chile. He first studied with maestro Rodrigo Tapia, then with mezzo-soprano Graciela Araya at the Ramon Vinay Opera Center.

At the age of 20, he won the Young Artist prize at the International Opera Competition in Trujillo (Peru) and made his debut in the role of Benvolio in Roméo et Juliette by Gounod, at the National Opera of Chile.

Three years later, he played the role of Azaël in Debussy's Prodigal Son at the Sakrale Oper in Berlin and Ferrando in Mozart's Così fan tutte at the Queen's Hall Theater in Trinidad and Tobago. He joined the Opera studio of the Opéra National du Rhin where he began several roles under the tutelage of Sylvie Valayre, Umberto Finazzi, and Lionel Sarrazin and the then won the International Competition of the French Opera of the U.P.M.C.F. in Paris.

Operas by Donizetti, Verdi, Bizet and Gounod are among the works in which he has performed.

Currently, he sings in internationally renowned theaters and music halls such as the Bolshoi in Moscow; the Salle Gaveau, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and the Seine Musicale in France; Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli, Teatro dell'Opera di Florence, Teatro Donizetti di Bergamo, Teatro Bellini di Catania, and Teatro Verdi di Pisa, in Italy; the Wiener Konzerthaus and the Opera Theater of Innsbruck in Austria as well as the Royal Opera House Muscat in Omán.

Recently, he sings the role of Barbarigo in Verdi's I due Foscari alongside Placido Domingo and participates as a guest soloist in the concert of soprano Nadine Sierra at the Salle Gaveau in Paris.
