Étienne Gernelle

Étienne Gernelle, born 3 May 1976 in Paris. Graduate of the Institut d'études politiques de Paris. He spent a year cycling from Samarkand (Uzbekistan) to Ulan Bator (Mongolia) in 2000.

He joined Le Point in 2001. He started out as a journalist in the economics department, then successively dealt with social issues, aeronautics, defence and energy, before being appointed deputy editor in November 2008, then editor in 2010. In January 2014, at the age of 37, he became the new head of Le Point, succeeding Franz-Olivier Giesbert.
