In the old town, it is possible to admire magnificent Ottoman houses with flowery gardens, as well as the broken minaret, built on the ruins of a former Byzantine church. The city’s surroundings also provide an opportunity to discover major archaeological sites, such as that of the ancient city of Aspendos, renowned for its impressive Roman theatre.

Without the waterway linking the Red Sea to the Mediterranean this part of the world would be an arid sandy desert inhabited by a few nomads. The Suez Canal slices through 162 km of desert and was inaugurated in 1869 in the presence of Empress Eugenie, then nationalised by Nasser in 1956.

Ain Sukhna, which means “hot spring,” is located in the Gulf of Suez, facing the Red Sea. Ain Soukhna is an ideal base for discovering the marvels of Ancient Egypt.

The city, which developed exponentially over the 20th century, is home to magnificent buildings, such as the Mosque El Mina Masjid: located near the port, it has different characteristics of Islamic architecture to be admired. However, the city is particularly renowned for its exceptional underwater world that you will be able to discover snorkelling. Unless you prefer to take an excursion in a glass-bottomed boat: a perfect opportunity to admire superb coral reefs and countless colourful fish without getting wet!

Disembarkation 12/11/2023 at 7:00 am
Located in the Red Sea within the eponymous gulf, Aqaba offers Jordan its only access to the sea. At the crossroads of the land and sea routes that linked Asia, Africa and Europe, the town is rich with more than 5,000 years of history. The warm waters of the Red Sea attract holidaymakers and divers to this seaside destination; the underwater sites home to coral and fishes are some of the most beautiful in the world. Aqaba is also the gateway to the magnificent desert of Wadi Rum and the marvellous site of Petra.
From the pier, board your coach for the approximately two-and-a-half hour drive to the Dahshur area south of Sakkara, where stand the pyramids of Dahshur: the Red and the Bent pyramids.
The constructor of these pyramids is thought to have been Snefru (2575-2551 BC), the first ruler of the Fourth Dynasty. He is also thought to have built the pyramid at Maidoun. The Red Pyramid is thought to be older, and the Bent Pyramid was built out of limestone quarried locally.
Following the visit of Dahshur you will head to Memphis, the first capital of Ancient Egypt. Founded in 3100 BC by Menes of Tanis, Memphis was once considered the largest city in the world, with a population exceeding 30,000. At its zenith, the city had many temples, palaces and gardens.
Upon arrival, you will see the Ramses colossus, an enormous limestone statue. Over 10 metres (33 feet) long, this giant lying statue depicts Ramses II, the pharaoh of Egypt from 1290 to 1224 BC. The Alabaster Sphinx and the ruins of the Temple of Ptah can also be viewed during your visit.
From Memphis, you will proceed to the restaurant for lunch.
Next, you will be taken to Sakkara, the necropolis of ancient Memphis, where you will visit the famous Step Pyramid of Zoser. Built 5,000 years ago by the engineer Imhotep, the pyramid and its surrounding complex were designed to be as grand as they were unique and revolutionary. At the "cemetery city" of Sakkara, visit the inside of one of the mastabas or funerary chambers.
You will then rejoin your coach for a two-and-a-half hour drive to Ain Sukhna.
Total : €150
This full day excursion provides a visit of the most important and significant site of Egypt. You will discover the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and even have the chance to visit the interior of the pyramid of Cheops.
From the pier of Ain Sukhna, board your coach for a 2 hour and 30 minute drive to Cairo, via the desert road. During your journey, your guide will provide interesting facts about the sites you will be visiting.
Once arriving, you will visit the Great Pyramids of Egypt. The Great Pyramids are considered the most famous of Egypt’s attractions and the only monuments left of the Ancient Wonders. The three main Pyramids at Giza were built as tombs by Cheops, his son Chephren, and Chephren’s son Mykerinus to preserve each of the pharaohs’ mummified body for eternity. For centuries, these unique structures have intrigued the world while surviving the rise and fall of great dynasties.
You will enter the pyramid of Cheops through a hole on the north face of the pyramid. To get up to the King’s Chamber, you will walk up a ramp through the Grand Gallery until you reach the King’s Chamber. In this dark, hot room is the empty granite sarcophagus.
Southeast of the Great Pyramids stands the Sphinx, carved out of solid rock around 2 650 BC. Steeped in legend and superstition, the Sphinx was a monument either to the sun god Ra or to Pharaoh Chephren. It has the head of a man and the body of a lion. The monument faces east, probably to greet the rising sun and the return of life each day.
After lunch you will drive back to Ain Sukhna where your ship is docked.
Total : €220
From the pier, you will board your coach for approximately a 30-minute drive to a 5-star Resort (local standards) located at Ain Sukhna. This seaside resort with its golden sand and turquoise waters is an invitation to relax.

Day 1 – Safaga/Luxor
After disembarkation procedures are completed, you will be greeted at the port of Safaga by your guide. You will then board your coach for the 3.5-hour drive to Luxor.
Upon arrival in Luxor, you will first visit the Luxor Museum. This marvellous museum overlooks the west bank of the Nile River and has an amazing collection of ancient artifacts. Displays range from magnificent pharaonic art to items used in everyday life, such as pottery and jewellery, including a carefully selected assortment of items from the Theban temples and necropolis.
You will then proceed to the restaurant for lunch. After lunch, you will visit Karnak Temple. Located about 2 miles (3 km) north of the Luxor Temple but connected to it by an impressive avenue of sphinxes, the Karnak Temple was the most important sanctuary of ancient Egypt, and the focus of the cult of the god Amon. Each pharaoh added his own contribution to the temple over the ensuing 2,000 years. The Ptolemys erected the massive first pylon you will see. Past the second pylon, guarded by a pair of huge statues of Ramses II, you will find the great hypostyle hall; the largest hall of any temple in the world. It spans some 50,000 square feet (5,000 m²) and contains 134 huge columns. You will be able to observe that some of the columns still have traces of the brilliant paint that originally covered them. The third pylon leads to the centre court, and past the fourth pylon is the 97-foot (30-metre) high obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut, carved from a solid piece of pink granite. As you pass through successive pylons and courts, you will journey back in time until you reach the oldest part of the temple, built by the pharaohs of the middle kingdom around 2000 BC. At the south end of the temple, you will find the sacred lake where ceremonial boats took part in the worship of Amon.
Next, a visit will be made to the Luxor Temple. This renowned ancient structure was originally built during the reign of Amenophis the III, and then expanded by Ramses II, who added a statue of himself and two obelisks. Today, only one remains at the Luxor Temple; the other was given by Mohamed Ali to Louis Philippe in 1831 and is displayed at the Place de la Concorde in Paris to this day. After Alexander the Great rebuilt the sanctuary in the 4th century BC, the Romans further reconstructed portions of it and the Muslims built a mosque in the temple.
After this last visit, you will be transferred to Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa for check-in.
Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 2 – Luxor/Safaga
After a buffet breakfast, you will start your day with a visit to the Valley of the Kings nestled in the foothills of the Gourma Mountains. More than 60 tombs of Pharaohs and noblemen have been found in this valley. The kings’formal names and titles are inscribed on their tombs, along with their images and statues.
You will not only make the usual valley tombs visit, but also enjoy a special visit of one of the most beautiful tombs in the valley known as Seti I tomb which includes the most beautiful paintings in the valley, and which is considered to be the longest tomb there, measuring some 449 foot (137 metres). You will also visit King Tut tomb.
Next, you will continue on for a photo stop at the Hatshepsut Temple, uniquely designed as a series of grand terraces extending up a cliff, with rows of square granite columns blending into the mountainside.
From here, you will proceed for a visit to the most beautiful and exclusive tomb in all Egypt, the tomb of Queen Nefertari which is known for its lavishly decoration and colours. Only a limited number of visitors are allowed to visit this tomb per day.
Finally, a photo stop will be made at the Colossi of Memnon, which was originally built as a mortuary temple in Thebes and guarded by two gigantic statues on the outer gates. All that remains today are the 75-foot (23-metre) high, 1,000-ton statues of Amenhotep III.
Following this west bank visit, enjoy lunch on board the Dahabeya sailing boat on your way back to your hotel. Arrive at your hotel and check-out.

Day 1 – Aqaba/Petra
After disembarkation procedures are completed, you will be greeted at the port by our local representative.
You will depart early the pier by coach for a 2-hour drive to Petra.
The ancient rose-red city of Petra was built by the Nabataeans more than 2,000 years ago. Learn about this fascinating culture and the amazing relics they left behind. In these times, Petra was a fortress carved out of craggy rocks, in an area which was virtually inaccessible. In the first and second century, after the Romans took over, the city reached the peak of its fame.
From the entrance, it is an 800 meter (½ mi.) walk to the entrance of the old city. Then continue your walk on foot along the « Siq » to visit the rose-red city of Petra. Petra covers an area of about 100 square km (38 sq. mi.), where over 800 monuments can be found.
When shipping slowly displaced caravan routes, the city’s importance gradually dwindled; it fell into disuse and was lost to the world until 1812, when it was rediscovered by the Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burkhart. Nowadays, Petra is Jordan’s number one tourist attraction, known as the “rose-red city half as old as time”.
At the end of your visit, enjoy a lunch in a local restaurant inside the site.
If you wish, you can continue the visit on your own after lunch and exit the site later.
A shuttle will be available to take you back to your hotel (a 10 minutes drive).
Mid-afternoon check-in at Mövenpick Nabatean Resort 4*.
The rest of the day is at leisure.
Dinner is served at the hotel.
Day 2 – Petra/Wadi Rum/Aqaba
You will depart the hotel by coach for a 2-hour drive to Wadi Rum.
Upon arrival in Wadi Rum, you will board four-wheel drive Bedouin truck driven by a local Bedouin, then start a 2-hour drive inside the beautiful desert. The landscape of Wadi Rum, also known as “Valley of the Moon”, with its immensity, colours and awe-inspiring shapes, creates an almost supernatural atmosphere. The place has been the setting for the famous film Lawrence of Arabia, as well as the actual location where T. E. Lawrence set his camp, whose book The Seven Pillars of Wisdom was named after the seven natural columns varying in height located in route to Wadi Rum. Bedouin camps are evident in the Wadi, which is still home to many Bedouin families, who welcome visitors with the hospitality and generosity that characterizes them.
Proceed to a Bedouin camp for some rest and lunch.
After lunch, you will be taken to Aqaba.
Mid-afternoon check-in at Kempinski Hotel Aqaba Red Sea.
The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities.

Day 1 – Aqaba/Wadi Rum
After disembarkation procedures are completed, you will be greeted at the port by our local representative.
Welcome to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, a country with outstanding ancient history, biblical sites of importance and beautiful desert landscapes.
Transfer to Wadi Rum.
Otherwise known as Valley of the Moon, Wadi Rum is the largest - and most magnificent - of Jordan's desert landscapes and has been virtually untouched by humans. A maze of monolithic rock formations rises up from the desert floor to heights of 1,750 meters (5,740 feet), creating a natural challenge for serious mountaineers. However, Wadi Rum may be best known for its connection with British officer T. E. Lawrence, who passed through several times during the Arab Revolt of 1917–18. In the 1980s one of the rock formations in Wadi Rum was named "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom" after Lawrence's book penned in the aftermath of the war, although the 'Seven Pillars' referred to in the book have no connection with Rum.
Enjoy a four-hour excursion of Wadi Rum in a four-wheel-drive vehicle. Please note that this excursion is conducted on board a simple vehicle which is operated by a local charity foundation. The revenue generated through these tours helps support the livelihood of the local Bedouins.
Lunch will be served during the course of the tour under a Bedouin tent.
Continue to your Bedouin camp Saraya Camp 4*, in the desert to enjoy a privilege evening under the stars.
Dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Wadi Rum/Petra
Breakfast at your Camp, check out and transfer out of the camp for a 2 hours drive to reach Petra.
When shipping slowly displaced caravan routes, the city's importance gradually dwindled; it fell into disuse and was lost to the world until 1812, when it was rediscovered by the Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burkhart. Nowadays, Petra is Jordan's number one tourist attraction, known as the "rose-red city half as old as time".
At the end of your visit, enjoy a lunch in a local restaurant inside the site.
Free time to walk back to the main entrance at your pace.
A shuttle will be available to take you to your hotel when you are ready (15 minutes drive).
Dinner at the hotel.
Day 3 – Petra/Madaba/Dead Sea
Breakfast at your hotel, check out and proceed to Madaba. The drive takes about 3 hours.
South of Amman proudly stands Madaba, the "City of Mosaics", perched on an archaeological site with more than 4,000 years of history buried beneath it. The quality and quantity of the mosaic flooring found here has made Madaba one of the most prominent cities in the world for mosaics. St. George's Church houses a world-famous mosaic floor containing a large mosaic map of Palestine, which also features a detailed map of Jerusalem as it was during the sixth century. At the Church of the Apostles, at the southern entrance of the city, is a mosaic floor attributed to the craftsman Salamanios, depicting the sea, with the central figure of a woman encircled with a selection of creatures, vegetation and an inscription.
Your lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
After your lunch, drive to your hotel in the Dead Sea, enjoy a photo stop en-route.
The Dead Sea has a historical and spiritual legacy of its own. It is believed to be the site of five biblical cities: Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim and Zoar (Bela).
At 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea is infinite in what it has to offer. Ever since the days of Herod the Great, people have flocked to the Dead Sea in search of its curative secrets. Due to high annual temperatures, low humidity and high atmospheric pressure, the air is extremely exogenous, and the high content of oxygen and magnesium in the air make breathing a lot easier.
With the highest content of minerals and salts in the world, the Dead Sea water possesses anti-inflammatory properties, and the dark mud found on the shores have been used for over 2000 years for therapeutic purposes.
Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the hotel and experience floating in the Dead Sea.
Dinner will be served at your hotel.
Day 4 – Dead Sea/Jerash/Amman
Breakfast.
Morning at leisure.
Meet your guide in the late-morning and proceed to Jerash.
Nestled in the hills of Gilead is the Greco-Roman city of Jerash, where archaeological remains from the Neolithic, Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Umayyad eras, amongst others, have been found. Jerash's golden age, however, arrived with the Roman era. Today, Jerash is known as one of the best-preserved provincial cities of the Roman Empire. Jerash was also a member of the Decapolis, a dynamic commercial league of ten Greco-Roman cities which were grouped together because of their language, culture, location and political status, wherein each functioned as an autonomous city-state.
After your visit, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.
Afterwards, proceed to Amman for a Panoramic Tour.
After your visit, drive back to your hotel in Amman.
Enjoy dinner at the hotel.
