Located in the Aeolian island archipelago, north of Sicily, the spectacular outline of Vulcano seems to want to break away from the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian sea and reach for the sky. And for good reason : This is understandable since the island is none other than the tip of an active volcano, itself named Vulcano, which still releases a few swirls of sulphur. Vulcanello is another volcano, linked by an isthmus to the island following an eruption. You can admire its sumptuous colours, combinations of the red rock of the lava and the green of low vegetation. The interior of the island boasts several thermal springs where you can take a mud bath. The coast offers a few beaches of black sand.
