A former hangout for Hollywood stars in the 1950s, Acapulco is outstandingly situated on stunning Santa Lucia Bay on Mexicoﾒs south-west coast. Although the city is largely given over to nightlife, there are several interesting sites to explore. The north of the bay reveals the old Acapulco and Zocalo, a shady square giving onto San Diego Fort. In the Maison du Paradis, you will see beautiful mosaics by the artist Diego Rivera and donﾒt miss the famous Quebrada divers, who throw themselves off the a 40-metre-high cliff up to five times a day.
