Argostoli is the main town on the island of Cephalonia, located in the Ionian archipelago. You will be amazed by the diverse architectural styles in its historical centre. Houses with Italianate balconies are interspersed with the white facades of the Greek houses. Discover the town’s ancient history in the Archaeological Museum, and its medieval past in the Korgialenio Museum. You’ll be spoilt for choice on the Lithostroto, with its myriad boutiques, cafés and restaurants. Beside this cobbled street, stands Saint Nicholas Church, where, from the lookout of its bell-tower, you can take in the whole of Argostoli and its coastline.
