Located in the Alexander Archipelago, on the southern side of Alaska, Frederick Sound is a long inlet with crystal-clear waters that flow between deserted islands covered in pine trees. In summer and autumn, this peaceful channel is an ideal place for watching protected marine fauna, including several hundred orcas and humpback whales. Donﾒt miss the little white lighthouse on Five Fingers Island; built in 1902, it is one of the original Alaskan lighthouses. The small surrounding bays offer countless amazing photo opportunities.
