John Gade, born in 1997 in Cannes, is a French pianist, violinist, and composer whose journey in the world of music is nothing short of captivating. Serving as an Ambassador for the Fondation Banque Populaire en Méditerranée, he honed his craft under the guidance of acclaimed mentors.
Having studied in the esteemed classes of Denis Pascal and Frank Braley at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, John furthered his musical exploration at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv under the tutelage of Emanuel Krasovsky. Currently under the mentorship of Igor Lazko at the Schola Cantorum, John is also a Laureate of the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.
His achievements speak volumes, including winning the 1st prize at the Virtuoses du cœur competition in Paris in 2017, becoming a laureate of the international competition in Hauts de France in 2018, securing the 1st prize at the international Claude Bonneton competition in Sète, and earning the grand prize at the Académie Ravel in Saint-Jean de Luz in 2019. Notably, he also clinched the grand prize Alain Marinaro at the international competition in Collioure and the 2nd prize at the international Albert Roussel competition.
John Gade is more than a musician; he is a piano Ambassador for the Fondation Banque Populaire de Méditerranée in 2021. His musical journey includes memorable performances in Moldova under the direction of Misha Katz, captivating audiences with Rachmaninov’s second concerto.
Having participated in masterclasses with luminaries such as Philippe Bianconi, Bertrand Chamayou, and Ivry Gitlis, John continues to receive invaluable guidance from esteemed figures like Bruno Rigutto and the Russian conductor Misha Katz.
His performances have graced prestigious venues and festivals, from the Festival Chopin de Bagatelle to the Nuits musicales du Suquet in Cannes, showcasing his versatility at events like the C’est pas classique in Nice and the Piano en Valois in Angoulême. Notably, he shared the stage with pianist Philippe Bianconi at the Festival Esprit du Piano in Bordeaux.
In 2014, at the Films en Concert festival in Lambersart, John showcased his compositional talent, creating a trio and a duo for films by Emil Cohl and Charlie Chaplin. His musical prowess even reached the Palazzo Farnese, where he played for the Ambassador of France in Italy, celebrating the commencement of the French presidency of the Council of the European Union. John Gade’s musical journey is a testament to his artistry and the rich tapestry of experiences he weaves through his performances and compositions. John is currently a piano professor at the “Conservatoire Scriabine” in Paris.
