Thomas Lefort

Violinist trained by Ivry Gitlis from the age of 13, Thomas Lefort today carries on the legacy of this legendary master. Winner of numerous international competitions, he further refined his skills under Salvatore Accardo, Renaud Capuçon, and at major European academies. A graduate of the CNSMDP and the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, he has performed as a soloist with many prestigious orchestras and conductors (Casadesus, Liss, Foster…) on major stages (Philharmonie de Paris, Victoria Hall in Geneva, Palazzetto Bru Zane…), as well as alongside artists such as Martha Argerich, Tedi Papavrami, and Edgar Moreau. His first album Folk (Mirare, 2019) was critically acclaimed, followed by a second album Il Violino Solo (2023). He appears in several film scores by Grégoire Hetzel (L’Innocent, Tromperie…). He is the founder of the festival “Les Étoiles du Classique” and teaches violin at the École normale de musique de Paris. He plays a replica of a Stradivarius, the “Le Tivadar Nachéz” (1709), made by Stephan Von Baehr.
