Because of its position Aburatsu has become a major maritime passage into the numerous regions of Asia. It has a serene atmosphere, typical to southern Japan, with a gentle landscape of rolling hills. On the outskirts of Nichinan, you can visit Obi Castle, dating from the Edo period.
