A few times a year we invite sea lovers, dreamers, and keen observers of endless horizons to join our non-stop journeys, to enjoy the comfort of our ships for an extended period and share the daily lives of our crew.
As the days go by, you can admire the waves from the upper deck, keep fit in the spa and make good use of the pool or the gym, share the daily life of the crew, discover sailing techniques and instruments, and enjoy a break from the hectic pace of life.

On board we will showcase the ship’s identity in the pages of our notebooks, based on the ambient colour chart, geometry of the furnishings, the curves, straight lines and volumes. On a more poetic note, we will also work on that horizontal line in the distance in all its weathers and garnishes, the inaccessible horizon and never ending quest; for “The sea, the sea, always begins again”.
We will discuss many things, taking our time, as on the waves the notion of time and space will be ours. And log books always have a special appeal.

I heard the call of the sea very early on, chose my profession and decided to write, draw and sail.
With a diploma in scientific and technical drawing, a very demanding sector, I have always worked. I live and work in Sète and my roots are in that port city. But my work is not satisfied with mere force of habit. The port is my playground and the sea a supremely poetic place, where there is solidarity among people. Reliability / reactivity / solidarity.
Riding the waves, my body is always put to the test and endures what the swell has to throw at me. Despite this, nothing pleases me more than to work onboard ship. My notebooks shed light on life aboard and the crews, be they merchant or military.
Among many exhibitions, the one in the Museum of the World Ocean at Kaliningrad in Russia remains my fondest memory, in collaboration with the Baltic Marine Academy and senior officers and crew of the Russian Cape Horner, the Kruzenshtern.
Thalassa followed me at sea, my work has been the subject of reports on BFM, France 2, regional news programmes, La Marine Nationale Cols Bleus review, Chasse-Marée and other specialist arts magazines. I have done stamp work for collectors: the Merchant Navy and the frigate Hermione, designed the last stamp for the Jeanne d’Arc helicopter carrier, a mission chart, a campaign album and others. My travel diaries are published by Magellan&Cie. I am accredited by the Latécoère Foundation and the frigate Hermione and have been running travel diary courses ashore and at sea for over 15 years.
A multi-undisciplined free spirit, I obey my intuition, I do not give in to what is in fashion.

Ideal clothes for life on board:
You are advised to wear comfortable clothes or casual outfits. The entire ship is air-conditioned, so a light sweater, a light jacket or a shawl may be necessary. When moving about in the public areas of the ship and the decks, light but comfortable shoes are recommended.
Informal evening:
In the evening, you are advised to wear smart-casual attire, especially when dining in our restaurants where wearing shorts and tee-shirts is not allowed.

SHOP:
A small shop is available on board offering a wide range of outfits, jewellery, leather goods and many accessories.
A laundry service (washing/ironing) is available on board, but unfortunately there are no dry cleaning services. For safety reasons, your cabin is not equipped with an iron.

Remember to always have your travel documents with you in case you need them: hotel vouchers, cruise vouchers, return flight tickets... Never leave them in your hold luggage.
All our cabins have a safe. We recommend not to go ashore with valuable jewellery.

Portugal’s capital city located on the banks of the Tagus, only a few kilometres from the Atlantic coast, is a city of exceptionally rich cultural diversity. At the mouth of the river harbour, impose two UNESCO World Heritage monuments, Jeronimos monastery and Belem tower. The Alfama hillside is also worth visiting: known for its fado bars and its Moorish streets, this district is the oldest one of the city and one of the most typical. Not far from there, Chiado’s elegant streets are home to big fashion labels and are an invitation to a bit of of luxury shopping.

This journey without a port of call will also be an opportunity to enjoy the conferences or shows proposed on board, depending on the activities offered, or to do some shopping in the boutique or to meet the PONANT photographers in their dedicated space. As for lovers of the open sea, they will be able to visit the ship’s upper deck to admire the spectacle of the waves and perhaps be lucky enough to observe marine species. A truly enchanted interlude, combining comfort, rest and entertainment.

A stopover of sunny climes, Las Palmas is located on the north-east coast of Gran Canaria. A few streets away from Puerto de la Luz port, you’ll discover the vast Las Canteras beach, bordered with the town’s characteristic palms. You’ll find these palms are all over Las Palmas, in the streets and squares, especially on the plaza de Santa Ana in the heart of the historical district. It feels like you’ve travelled back in time here, as you stand looking at the tall houses beside the Santa Ana cathedral. Very close by, you can visit the Casa de Colón, a museum dedicated to the famous explorer. The museum is housed in the palace belonging to the island’s former governor. Chances are, you’ll be drawn to the covered Vegueta market to partake in some daily life along with the locals and taste some unfamiliar dishes.

A port city built on the south-western shore of the Rio de la Plata, between the Atlantic Ocean and the vast Argentine Pampas, Buenos Aires is a unique city in Latin America. Nicknamed “the Little Paris of South America”, the Argentine capital is a clever blend of architecture with European influences and a joyful Latin American atmosphere. Designed on an orthogonal grid plan, it has 48 districts, all of which are as charming as they are different, with a range of styles such as Belle Époque, gothic and baroque. With its markets overflowing with treasures, its legendary cultural and architectural heritage, and tango providing its background music, the Argentine capital will delight you on every street corner.
Las Palmas city tour
From the pier, you will board your coach for a short drive (15-minute drive) to Vegueta the oldest quarter of Las Palmas, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1990.
You will get into the history and travel back in the time of the Conquerors, the Portuguese, the Dutchman and the pirates during your walking tour.
You will start your journey at the place where the city was founded at the end of the 15th century, originating from a Castilian military encampment. Only a few metres away, you will find the Plaza Santa Ana with its entrance guarded by bronze statues of dogs, symbolising the legendary canines found on this island. This square is surrounded by the Casa Regental, a largely 17th century building serving as residence for the president of Gran Canary's High Court of Law, the elegant Town Hall dating from the 19th century, the Bishop's Palace and the Cathedral Santa Ana.
During your inside visit of the cathedral, you will discover the history behind a handmade painting at one of its walls.
Then, you will visit one of the city's main museums, the Columbus House, where you will admire a large collection of nautical exhibits and information about this famous explorer.
Your walking tour will end in the district of Triana. If Vegueta will transport you to the middle ages, the Triana quarter is more bourgeois and you will see many shops and nice little bars. Enjoy some free time for shopping or discover the district on your own.
Before returning to your ship, you will stop at the Altavista viewing point to take some photos of the town and the harbour.
- This tour involves approximately 0.7 mile (1 km) of walking on uneven and cobblestone streets with some steps. We recommend you to wear comfortable walking shoes and to protect yourself from the sun. Appropriate dress is required to visit religious sites (shoulders and knees covered).
