Country Club Casual, or elegant resort wear, is appropriate dress for all evenings aboard The Paul Gauguin. Country Club Casual consists of a dress, or skirt or slacks with a blouse or sweater for ladies, and slacks and collared shirts for gentleman. No ties are required at any time, although gentlemen may opt to wear a jacket to the Captain’s Welcome Reception. Please note that casual wear such as shorts, t-shirts, casual jeans (frayed and/or with holes), baseball caps, flip-flops, and Crocs are not considered appropriate after 6:00 pm in all restaurants and lounges. Bathrobes and bathing suits are not appropriate in the ship’s restaurants and lounges, and shirts and shoes are required in all public areas at all times.

*Shoes suitable for wearing in the water—whether they are reef shoes, sneakers, or old sandals—are imperative for water-based activities. There are corals, urchins, and other marine life that can cause painful cuts and injuries that can be prevented by bringing footwear from home. There is limited opportunity for purchase in the South Pacific. Note that flip-flops are not suitable for this function.

Supervision of the dives
Your dives will be led by your PONANT instructor. He will take care of your safety and that all goes smoothly. On some diving sites, as in natural reserves or if the local regulations require it, a local guide will escort the diving.
Level required for scuba diving on this cruise
The minimum level required for scuba diving on this cruise is 1 star CMAS or the PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent). The certification card, the diving log book and a recent medical certificate (less than 12 months) must be presented at the beginning of the cruise to our main diving instructor.
Process of the dives (certified divers)
The instructor reserves the right to check divers’ ability for maximum safety. As we will dive in remote places, the dives will be done without decompression stop. A safety stop of 3 minutes at 5 metres will be mandatory. The depth that can be reached will depend on the certification of the divers:
- For those with PADI Open Water Diver certificate (or equivalent), the maximum depth can be up to 20 metres.
- If two Stars CMAS or PADI Advanced Open Water Divers (or equivalent) wish to dive together independently, they must have a briefing first. They must have dive computers and are allowed to go to a maximum depth of 20 metres.
Process of the initiation dives (novice divers)
Before your initiation dive, your instructor will show you the equipment and will explain to you how to communicate underwater using hand gestures and how to breathe through a regulator. Once in the water, equipped with your material, you will learn how to breathe through your regulator on the surface for a couple of minutes. When your instructor feels you are ready, he will immerse you in water for about 20 minutes to a depth of 6 metres maximum.
Duration of the dives
The diving activity lasts from 2 to 3 hours, which includes the journey to the diving site and the diving. This duration may vary according to the site, the level of divers, weather conditions and the number of participants. For experienced divers, the duration of dives varies between 35 and 60 minutes depending on the site, the diver’s experience and consumption.

Fauna and flora of the Pacific Ocean
The fauna of the Pacific Sea is very varied. During the various dives, divers can observe various species of benthic fauna such as napoleon fish, raccoon butterfly fish, and pelagic fauna such as manta rays, gray reef sharks, dolphin fish as well as endemic wildlife such as different soft corals.

Just a few kilometres from Viti Levu, the small and remote island of Beqa (pronounced “Benga”) offers a concentrated dose of Fiji’s cultural and natural treasures. Its inhabitants continue the impressive ancestral tradition of fire walking, or Vilavilairevo. During demonstrations, they invite us to watch these ceremonies where barefooted men, prepared and dressed for the occasion in traditional costume, walk over red-hot coals. Vava’u is a splendid archipelago in Tonga made up of around forty picture-postcard coral islands scattered across the turquoise waters of the south Pacific Ocean. The main island is dominated by Mount Talau which offers a magnificent panoramic view over the islands. Along the long fine sandy beaches of these idyllic islets, the teeming marine life can be seen in the coral reefs, the gorgonian coral gardens and the underwater caves. Your itinerary enables you to cross the International Date Line. This imaginary line across the Earth’s surface approximately follows the 180th meridian in the Pacific Ocean. Because of the roundness of the Earth and the necessity of having reference time meridians, we have to change dates when we cross this line. So if your ship is travelling west, you will need to add a day to the expected date; conversely, if travelling east, you will take away a day. This paradox, already noted by Magellan’s crews during his circumnavigation, serves as dramatic motivation in several novels, including Jules Verne’s famous Around the World in Eighty Days.

Capital of French Polynesia, the city of Papeete is on the north-west coast of the island of Tahiti. You’ll find a relaxed atmosphere here,where urban buzz combines with the legendary laid-back Polynesian lifestyle. Culture is not lacking. You can enjoy sites narrating the history of the archipelago, including the colonial cathedral and the Maison de la reine Marau. The Vaipahi public gardens will win you over by their abundant plant-life. The large municipal market offers local specialities: fresh fruit, spices and all kinds of fish abound on their stalls.
Cultural village & firewalking show
Legend has it that over 500 years ago the men of Beqa Island were given the gift of being able to walk on fire by an eel in exchange for its life. Today, the descendants of these warriors carry on the tradition, observing the same strict rules of tabu as the ancestors. Men are chosen as representatives from different villages. Ten days prior to the ceremony, they segregate themselves from females and are not allowed to eat coconut. The fire pit is dug out 12 to 15 feet in diameter and 3 to 4 feet deep. Large river stones are then collected and placed in the pit, filling it up. Six to eight hours before the ceremony a log fire is built over the top of the stones, heating them up. The Fire walkers are led to the arena accompanied by dances and chants. Leaves and vines are grazed across the stones to prepare the pit. The men then proceed to walk across the stones in a few different phases. Finally, a bundle of grass is thrown onto the pit and the group huddles in the centre while chanting a song. Bands around the ankle of each participant, which are made of tree ferns that do not burn, are thrown into the pit. The pit is finally covered with earth, and days later, the ankle bands are recovered and ground up, mixed with water, and eaten by the Fire walkers.
A tender boat will transfer you from the ship to the beach on Beqa Island. From the beach landing area, you will walk approximately 20-25 minutes to the village along an uneven, rough dirt path. Upon your arrival in the village, you will be greeted and welcomed by the fearsome Fijian warriors in traditional costumes. Villagers serenade and escort you to the village green where a traditional kava ceremony will take place. You will then be seated in a covered area to watch the ceremony and the Meke, a special dance performed by the dancers normally only for their Paramount Chief. The highlight of the village visit is the Fire walking!
After all the excitement, you will walk back to the beach for your transfer back to the ship.

Zipline
Depart from Suva port for a 20-minute drive to Pacific Harbour and arrive at the zipline. In the heart of the tropical rainforest, just minutes from Pacific Harbour, Fiji's 'Adventure Capital', lies ZIP FIJI's private eco-reserve – a biological paradise.
The guides help you use special equipment and techniques to experience this amazing wilderness from a unique perspective. Feel the rush of adrenaline as you WHOOSH over eight ziplines high above the forest floor and the Wainadoi River valley. Enjoy a classic 'canopy tour' with stunning views and thrilling rides while you experience the area's distinctive flora and fauna and local culture accompanied by English-speaking native guides.
At this end of the activity, you will get back to your coach to join your ship.

Wear comfortable clothing you don't mind getting a little dirty or wet and that will not interfere with the adjustment of the harness or helmet. Closed-toe sport shoes provide the best protection for your feet, however strap-on sandals are acceptable. Bring your camera, bottled water and insect repellent with you to the tour site. As it rains periodically throughout the day, you may want to bring a lightweight poncho or jacket or a change of clothing. Please bring a hair tie if you have long hair. Participants must be reasonably fit, weigh less than 135 kg (300 pounds), be at least 5 years of age and have a torso length of at least 45 cm (18 inches). Children under legal age (18) must be accompanied by an adult. The tour is not recommended for persons with asthma, balance problems, epilepsy, heart problems, some disabilities, back, neck or shoulder problems or those who are pregnant.

Fiji's culture & heritage tour
Visit Fiji's capital city, Suva – centre of commerce and the seat of government. This guided drive tour will take you to see various iconic sites such as the President's Residence and nearby Albert Park (where Kingsford Smith landed his small aircraft on his epic flight from the United States to Australia in 1928) as well as Thurston Botanical Gardens.
During the tour you will also see The Borron House (home of Fiji's greatest statesman Ratu Sukuna and for use only by foreign dignitaries). You will also have the opportunity to visit the Fiji Museum. Bilo Battery Historical Site and World War II Heritage Site is also included in the tour on 12 April only.
During World War II, the guns at Bilopeninsula lent a degree of comfort to the people in a time of uncertainty and fears of news of the Japanese invasion flashed across the Pacific. The guns once pointed out from the side of Bilopeninsula like twin fingers of death, down to the Bay of islands in Lamiand across Suva harbour to the capital. They were placed there to guard the passage in the reef leading to Suva harbour.

Molituva village
Molituva is an old village fort that was the dwelling place of one of Fiji’s most fiercest and feared warriors. Touring the ruins of this great fort one could envisage the lives of these greater fighters. Colo-i-Suva trek tour & waterfall
Located 20 minutes from the city, Colo-i-Suva is a national park that boasts a crystal-clear river set in serene and peaceful surroundings amidst a spectacular rainforest making this a perfect spot for a moderate trek followed by a cool dip in the waterfall.

Snorkelling in Beqa Lagoon
Beqa Lagoon tour is an exhilarating high-speed adventure and coral reef tour that will take in the magnificent reefs that surround Beqa Lagoon and its islands. Nakawaqa Waterfall & Rainforest
Your day begins with a 40-to-50-minute drive along the cross island road to Nakawaqa Rainforest located on the northeastern part of Savusavu town.
Guests are welcomed on arrival by the villagers and escorted to the waterfall following trails in the rainforest. Normally 30 minutes trek in the forest from and to the waterfall. Choose one of the three pools to have a dip or refreshing swim. Wainiliku Creek is surrounded by 200 acres of virgin tropical rainforest with huge indigenous trees and other species. The walk to the falls is under the shade of the forest canopy.
Return to the waiting area for fruit refreshments and browse amongst the local village handicrafts before boarding the bus to return to Savusavu.

Savusavu Sightseeing
Your first stop on this tour will be just outside of town at the factory of Copra Millers of Fiji - the leading manufacturer of coconut oil in Fiji.
Witness the processing of Virgin coconut oil which is extracted from the coconut flesh with the minimal amount of processing i.e. no high heat or pressure and no harsh chemical solvents, bleaching agents, etc. The oil is completely unrefined to ensure it retains all the natural goodness of the coconut itself. There is a huge demand for coconut oil overseas. Malaysia and Taiwan are Fiji's biggest markets.
Re-board the coach and enjoy a leisurely scenic drive along the coastal picturesque Hibiscus Highway. En route, pass the renowned Namale Resort (owned by Anthony Robbins - motivational guru) and Oneva Estate, once a prosperous copra plantation which has now been developed into a residential subdivision and is home to many expatriate retirees. Waisali rain forest & Reserve
The Waisali Reserve is one of the few remaining unexploited forests in Fiji and is the natural habitat for the native Fijian hardwood – some of the trees being over 100 years old. On the two-hour forest trail engulfed by majestic trees you may be fortunate to see or hear the red breasted musk parrot or the beautiful orange dove – both endemic and rare bird species.
The quiet serene is disturbed only by the occasional sound of the barking pigeon and moving stream water. Take time to rest in the bur beside the rock pool which is home to finish species, eel, prawn and freshwater snails. The reserve fresh water fauna are unique so the pool is kept undisturbed and is not suitable for swimming. This tour involves uphill walking so good walking shoes are recommended.

Nukubalavu village tour
Experience the day-to-day life of Fijian people during a memorable visit to an authentic Fijian village. Journey along the scenic coast road to visit Nukubalavu Village, home of the paramount chief of Savusavu. Guests will be greeted by the village elders and invited to witness and participate in a kava ceremony where the powdered kava is mixed with water and presented by a'bilo' (coconut cup) to those who wish to taste this ceremonial drink. Following the ceremony the guide will take guests on a tour of the village to experience the warmth of the native Fijians. Snorkelling tour
At the edge of the reef which runs out from Savusavu Bay is a Lighthouse, which gives its name to the famed snorkelling site.
Board either the "Island Fever" or the "Island Paradise" and take an enjoyable fast and scenic ride along the inside of the Bay to snorkel amongst beautiful coral and tropical fish in crystal-clear turquoise waters. Savusavu is home to some of the most vibrant and colourful coral in Fiji. There are numerous plate corals, soft spaghetti corals and fish, fish, fish…. myriads of black and white sergeant fish as well as clown fish, orange and purple anthias, trumpet fish, pale green damsel fish, humpbacked wrasse and Maori wrasse. The scene takes on the appearance of a tropical aquarium as abundant small fish dart in and out of the striking coral. Giant clams, grouper and parrotfish are also commonly seen in and around the coral formations. Sea turtles frequent the Lighthouse so it is always a treat to see one or two. Occasionally a friendly white-tip reef shark will be seen.

Swallow cave & island getaway
Vava'u's big island is set in a cluster of nearly 40 smaller islands. The only harbour providing access to Neiafu is considered one of the most picturesque in the Pacific.
Your tour will consist of a boat cruise that winds through the harbour to the island of Kapa. The main attraction of Kapa Island is beautiful Swallow's Cave which perforates a cliff at its northern end. The cave is in fact inhabited not by swallows but by hundreds of swift lets that flit about in the dim light and nest in the darkness of the cave's upper reaches. You can only view the swallow cave from outside from your boat unless weather permits you to swim into the cave.
Afterwards you will continue to Falevai Mui Houma Beach. With its crystal blue waters and perfect beach, it is one of the most exquisite places on Vava'u Island. You will have time to enjoy a swim in the warm, clear ocean or simply relax on the white, sandy beach.

Circle island tour
From the pier, your around-the-island drive will take you past several of the island's villages. You will visit a marae (sacred Polynesian temple grounds) site. Pass through plantations of various crops grown here on Aitutaki. Learn about the island's myths and legends while taking in its beautiful scenery.
Aitutaki has a unique geographical make-up – the island is a volcanic atoll with the typical volcanic peaks in the center of the island with the encircling coral reef ringed by the offshore islands (motus) and the lagoon in the center. The Circle Island Tour is a great way to see the island and meet the locals.
Visit the inland villages of Tautu Vaipae and Vaipeka, drive along the coast and see the remnants of the Copra Production Facility, and see how the people of this tiny idyllic island live. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet the locals and take photographs along the way.

Snorkeling tour
You will board small boats each seating 10 guests and travel to Motu Maina where you can snorkel and those that wish would have the option of visiting the motu. It takes approximately 15 minutes to travel each way, as the boats are very fast.
This area has beautiful giant clams and is a marine reserve and is a nesting area of the red-tailed tropic birds.
You will return to your ship at the end of the visit.

Lagoon cruise with beach break
Aitutaki's deep blue lagoon is considered to be one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world. Part volcanic and part atoll, the island's geographical structure makes this lagoon unique.
This tour will give you the opportunity to experience the best Aitutaki has to offer in the short time available during your visit.

Explore the underwater wonders of Bora-Bora during a 30-minute ride on the Aquabike underwater scooter.
Depart the pier in Bora-Bora via motorboat for the brief transfer to the hydraulic scooter platform. Upon arrival, you will meet your dive instructor/guide, who will brief you on the scooter, equipment, and safety procedures. Operating the scooter is very simple; riders only need to step onto the scooter and steer it using a small wheel. The Aquabike underwater scooter is equipped with dive tanks, providing continuous airflow, so your head stays completely dry. After descending to a shallow depth of 10 feet (3 meters) maximum, your 30-minute underwater exploration will begin. The lagoon tour includes three stops. Circle island by waverunner*
Experience the unparalleled beauty of Bora Bora's lagoon in a fun-filled new way during this scenic and exciting waverunner excursion around the island.
Depart the pier for the brief transfer via Le Truck to the waverunner launching point. Upon arrival, your guide will provide you with your safety and waverunner instructions, then lead you on a one-hour journey to the lagoon's most remote and idyllic spots. En route, your guide will select the best location to stop for a swim or explore a motu. (Stops may vary due to the wind and water conditions.)
Upon returning to the wave runner launching point, you will re-board for the return ride to the pier.

Bora Bora island tour by "Le truck"
Explore the island paradise of Bora Bora during this scenic orientation tour via Le truck. For a long time, this picturesque mode of transport has been the emblematic means of transport in Polynesia, especially on the Society Islands.
Depart the pier aboard a Le truck. First, you will drive through the district of Fa'anui. Along the way, you will pass by small villages and fields that offer a glimpse into the everyday life of the people of Bora Bora. A brief stop will be made at Fa'anui Bay for photographs of Mounts Otemanu and Pahia.
Your drive will continue on to the ancient ceremonial site of Fa'anui Marae, followed by a look at the bunkers constructed by American GIs during WWII. Next, a stop will be made at Mama Edna's to sample such local delicacies as breadfruit, poe mixed with coconut milk (not marinated), taro and tropical fruit. You will also have an opportunity to buy some local, hand-painted pareos. From a lookout point, you will see Mount Otemanu, Bora Bora's highest peak, which stands as a silent sentinel over the Pearl of the Pacific.

Depart the pier with your driver for an off-road excursion to places only accessible via Land Rover. Your driver will navigate the steep terrain and introduce you to the plants, trees, and lifestyles of Bora Bora. You will drive through the small town of Vaitape on the shore of Pofai Bay, then ascend Pahonu Hill. Here, you will find expansive views of Bora Bora’s natural harbor and Matira Beach.
You will then continue on for a second ascent, more off-road adventure, and a visit to the cannons still standing in their original World War II locations. Next, you will travel along Bora Bora’s north shore for a visit to the lush valley of Fa’anui. Your journey will conclude with spectacular views and photo opportunities of Fa’anui Bay from a traditional plantation high up in the mountains.

The excursion will stop at least three times (depending on the sea conditions, visibility and timing), at different points of the island to snorkel in the most preserved coral gardens of the lagoon. Aquasafari – Underwater walk
Discover why Bora Bora’s spectacular lagoon is considered to be among the most beautiful in the world during this unique underwater adventure.
Depart the pier for the brief water-taxi ride to your comfortable motorized dive boat. After embarking the dive boat, your certified diving instructor will explain your safety and diving instructions and help you put on your helmet. Your head will remain dry inside the helmet; you can even wear your glasses as you freely maneuverer about in total security just a few feet below the surface. You will then descend the ladder into the crystal-clear water and commence your 30-minute underwater adventure. As you walk along the sandy bottom past exotic coral formations, you will see an abundance of iridescently colored tropical fish that are gentle enough to feed by hand.
Plastic shoes, wet suits, masks, and snorkels will also be available, as there will be time for snorkeling while the other guests take their underwater walk.

Sharks & stingrays encounter
Explore the exquisite beauty and undersea denizens of Bora Bora’s lagoon during this stingray ballet and snorkeling safari aboard a covered snorkeling boat. Depart the pier aboard the snorkeling boat for a cruise by the ancient crater rim of Motu Toopua, then past Motu Tapu. You will then drop anchor on a shallow sandbank to discover the elegant, yet harmless stingrays. Watch in amazement as the rays glide effortlessly around you. These modern state of the art ATVs will surprise you with their ease of use and ability to conquer any obstacles and still providing you with an exhilarating and comfortable ride. During this guided tour you will ride along the scenic coastal road of mainland of Bora Bora, but the excitement is found during the off-road drive through the tropical forests and jungle of Bora Bora up and down steep paths and trails leading to the lookout points. Shark & ray watching by glass bottom boat
Get acquainted with sharks and rays in a unique new way during a glass-bottom boat ride in Bora Bora and a swim with stingrays.
After embarking your glass-bottom boat at the pier, you will depart for a brief cruise. Your guide will then tie the boat to a mooring in about 25 feet of water and try to attract black-tipped sharks. You will observe the dance of these ocean denizens and, if you are lucky, spot some lemon sharks known to frequent the area. Next, you will proceed to a shallower, clear lagoon for a rare opportunity to view graceful stingrays and even swim alongside them.

Experience Bora Bora's Island exquisite topography from a unique perspective during this picturesque flight seeing tour.
Depart the pier for the brief transfer to the helipad. After boarding your helicopter, you will take off for a 30-minute flight seeing tour over Bora Bora, the Pearl of the Pacific. You will then head towards north and enjoy a bird’s eye view over the famous heart-shaped island, Tupai. Along the way, you can use the headphones to listen to your pilot's commentary as he points out the sights below. Your bird's-eye view of Bora Bora will include spectacular views and photo opportunities of the world's most beautiful lagoon and reefs, along with manta rays and sharks, an adventure some call Heli-snorkeling. Aquabike adventure*
Explore the underwater wonders of Bora-Bora during a 30-minute ride on the Aquabike underwater scooter.
Depart the pier in Bora-Bora via motorboat for the brief transfer to the hydraulic scooter platform. Upon arrival, you will meet your dive instructor/guide, who will brief you on the scooter, equipment, and safety procedures. Operating the scooter is very simple; riders only need to step onto the scooter and steer it using a small wheel. The Aquabike underwater scooter is equipped with dive tanks, providing continuous airflow, so your head stays completely dry. After descending to a shallow depth of 10 feet (3 meters) maximum, your 30-minute underwater exploration will begin. Your dive instructor will guide you in the water and throughout the tour to help ensure a smooth and easy underwater ride.

Lagoon cruise & Polynesian feast
Lagoon tour of Bora Bora in a traditional outrigger canoe (motorized), with ukulele animation and narration on culture, history and nature of Bora Bora.
The lagoon tour includes three stops. The first one is for snorkeling in a coral garden, where visitors can discover many different colorful fish, corals, and many other inhabitants of a wonderful natural ecosystem. The guide accompanies the visitors in the water. The second stop is the visit of the stingrays in shallow water. These rays are tamed since more than 20 years. The approach is gentle and respectful, keeping in mind preservation of nature. The last stop is on the ocean side, for the observation of black tip reef sharks.
After the morning of snorkeling, Polynesian feast is served on a private island (motu). Lunch is cooked in a traditional earth oven made with volcanic rocks, and covered by banana leaves. The guests watch the opening of the oven, and listen to the explanations of the guide. The table is set in the lagoon, with an umbrella to protect guests from the sun. Circle island by waverunner*
Experience the unparalleled beauty of Bora Bora's lagoon in a fun-filled new way during this scenic and exciting waverunner excursion around the island.
Depart the pier for the brief transfer via Le Truck to the waverunner launching point. Upon arrival, your guide will provide you with your safety and waverunner instructions, then lead you on a one-hour journey to the lagoon's most remote and idyllic spots. En route, your guide will select the best location to stop for a swim or explore a motu. (Stops may vary due to the wind and water conditions.)
Upon returning to the wave runner launching point, you will re-board for the return ride to the pier.

Relaxing time at the Lagoonarium
Depart the pier in Vaitape (or Anau) aboard an outrigger canoe for a scenic ride in the Bora Bora lagoon (weather permitting). You will then continue to the Lagoonarium, with its white sandy beach and open-air aquarium. From the beach you will have a magnificent view of the island of Bora Bora. Upon arrival, enjoy an opportunity to swim in separate enclosed areas. During your visit, you will also participate in up-close encounters with marine life, including sharks, rays, jack fish, turtles, parrot fish, and more. Snorkeling begins from the beach in shallow water ranging in depth from 3-10 feet and is suitable for beginners and experienced snorkelers. Your local guides will show you how to carefully approach the marine life, will present you the motu and you will invite to participate in weaving coconut palm, sheathing coconut and pareo demonstrations.
After your visit, you will be served fresh fruit and spend some time relaxing on the beach before heading back to the pier.
Because the outrigger canoes are not always uncovered, the ride can be extremely sunny or wet from spray or rain. At times transfer is by car and boat. Guests exiting the canoe must use the ladder on the south side and walk in shallow water back to the beach. A small souvenir shop is available on the island, and all purchases are cash only; U.S. dollars or Pacific Francs are accepted here. Bora Bora island tour by "Le truck"
Explore the island paradise of Bora Bora during this scenic orientation tour via Le truck. For a long time, this picturesque mode of transport has been the emblematic means of transport in Polynesia, especially on the Society Islands.
Depart the pier aboard a Le truck. First, you will drive through the district of Fa'anui. Along the way, you will pass by small villages and fields that offer a glimpse into the everyday life of the people of Bora Bora. A brief stop will be made at Fa'anui Bay for photographs of Mounts Otemanu and Pahia.
Your drive will continue on to the ancient ceremonial site of Fa'anui Marae, followed by a look at the bunkers constructed by American GIs during WWII. Next, a stop will be made at Mama Edna's to sample such local delicacies as breadfruit, poe mixed with coconut milk (not marinated), taro and tropical fruit. You will also have an opportunity to buy some local, hand-painted pareos. From a lookout point, you will see Mount Otemanu, Bora Bora's highest peak, which stands as a silent sentinel over the Pearl of the Pacific.

Depart the pier with your driver for an off-road excursion to places only accessible via Land Rover. Your driver will navigate the steep terrain and introduce you to the plants, trees, and lifestyles of Bora Bora. You will drive through the small town of Vaitape on the shore of Pofai Bay, then ascend Pahonu Hill. Here, you will find expansive views of Bora Bora’s natural harbor and Matira Beach.
You will then continue on for a second ascent, more off-road adventure, and a visit to the cannons still standing in their original World War II locations. Next, you will travel along Bora Bora’s north shore for a visit to the lush valley of Fa’anui. Your journey will conclude with spectacular views and photo opportunities of Fa’anui Bay from a traditional plantation high up in the mountains.
Afterwards, you will be returned to the pier.

Pure snorkelling with reef discovery
The excursion will stop at least three times (depending on the sea conditions, visibility and timing), at different points of the island to snorkel in the most preserved coral gardens of the lagoon. You will have an opportunity to see a rich variety of fishes and beautiful coral formations as well as the amazing Manta and Eagle rays.
Please note that, sighting of the wild life is not guaranteed. The expert team of naturalist guides snorkel with the guests to show them the fauna and help those who are not confident in the water, explaining during the tour the reef and island’s formation and interesting facts about Bora Bora.

Depart the pier in Vaitape aboard a glass-bottom boat to explore Bora Bora's world-famous marine life. Along the way, you will look through large glass windows that open onto a colorful world of parrotfish, butterfly fish, and an abundance of other inhabitants that thrive in the waters of this tropical paradise. A roof will provide you with protection from the sun and eliminate glare, enabling you to take home great photos of your visit.
As you journey out across this fabulous lagoon, your guide will inform you about the teeming marine life beneath your feet, as well as the visually-stunning ecosystem that exists above the waterline. Aquasafari – Underwater walk
Discover why Bora Bora’s spectacular lagoon is considered to be among the most beautiful in the world during this unique underwater adventure.
Depart the pier for the brief water-taxi ride to your comfortable motorized dive boat. After embarking the dive boat, your certified diving instructor will explain your safety and diving instructions and help you put on your helmet. Your head will remain dry inside the helmet; you can even wear your glasses as you freely maneuverer about in total security just a few feet below the surface. You will then descend the ladder into the crystal-clear water and commence your 30-minute underwater adventure. As you walk along the sandy bottom past exotic coral formations, you will see an abundance of iridescently colored tropical fish that are gentle enough to feed by hand.
Plastic shoes, wet suits, masks, and snorkels will also be available, as there will be time for snorkeling while the other guests take their underwater walk.
No swimming or diving experience is required. At the conclusion of your tour, you will return directly to the pier via water taxi.

Experience the very best of Bora Bora’s lagoon during this scenic and memorable private boat tour. Depart the pier on board the sporty 23-foot Jeanneu, 715WA motorized boat. Ride around the island and stop to observe a stingray ballet. Snorkel in the majestic coral gardens. Visit the reef sharks, manta rays and much more. ATV adventure in Bora Bora*
These modern state of the art ATVs will surprise you with their ease of use and ability to conquer any obstacles and still providing you with an exhilarating and comfortable ride. During this guided tour you will ride along the scenic coastal road of mainland of Bora Bora, but the excitement is found during the off-road drive through the tropical forests and jungle of Bora Bora up and down steep paths and trails leading to the lookout points. The spectacular scenic stops across the lagoon and the neighboring islands of Taha'a, Raiatea and Huahine give you breathtaking views and photo opportunities. The route will be adjusted and tailor-made according to the level and abilities of the participants, and generally 2 or 3 view stops are included (these may be: Anau Canon, Povai Antenna, Povai Bay Bunker and Faanui Valley).

By helicopter: Flightseeing Bora Bora and Tupai (30 minutes flight)
Experience Bora Bora's Island exquisite topography from a unique perspective during this picturesque flight seeing tour.
Depart the pier for the brief transfer to the helipad. After boarding your helicopter, you will take off for a 30-minute flight seeing tour over Bora Bora, the Pearl of the Pacific. You will then head towards north and enjoy a bird’s eye view over the famous heart-shaped island, Tupai. Along the way, you can use the headphones to listen to your pilot's commentary as he points out the sights below. Your bird's-eye view of Bora Bora will include spectacular views and photo opportunities of the world's most beautiful lagoon and reefs, along with manta rays and sharks, an adventure some call Heli-snorkeling. You will then circle Mount Otemanu, Bora Bora's highest peak.
After you flight you will get back to the pier.

Exploration of Taha'a
Explore Taha'a's exquisite topography, ancient culture, and local economy during this scenic and memorable off-road tour.
Depart the pier in an off-road vehicle for the ride across one of Taha'a's highest mountains. Along the way, your guide will point out sights of interest, and a stop will be made at a scenic viewpoint to learn about the traditional uses of local plants and trees.
The island of Taha'a is often called Vanilla Island, and you will learn about this fragrant spice while visiting a small family plantation. Afterwards, you will visit a small black pearl farm to learn how these treasures are cultivated and harvested. These small cottage industries represent a large part of this small island's economic structure.
During the return drive along the east coast of the island, your guide will entertain you with tales of island life and lore. Upon returning to the ship, a tender service to the Paul Gauguin's private island, Motu Mahana will be available throughout the day.

Snorkel & Black pearl farm adventure
Explore Tahiti's most unique and sought-after treasures during this canoeing and snorkeling adventure and a visit to the Black Pearl Farm.
Depart the pier aboard a motorized outrigger canoe for the 10-minute ride to Poerani, a black pearl farm. The vanilla industry is the island's most important business, followed closely by the production of black pearls. At the black pearl farm, you will learn all about the most beautiful jewel of French Polynesia: the magnificent black pearl. This informative stop will help you understand the value of these lustrous jewels in these islands – and around the world.
Continue on to a small motu for an opportunity to snorkel in its crystal-clear water. This motu is located close to a pass where experienced snorkeler can observe the drop-off of the reef. Don your snorkeling gear and enter the water, where you will see wonderful underwater fauna and a myriad of tropical fish swimming around you.
Following your snorkeling session, you will embark the canoe for the return ride to the Motu Mahana for Paul Gauguin's Beach BBQ.

Taha'a cultural tour
After a brief tender boat ride to the pier, you will be met by your local guide and "Le Truck".
You will start exploring this scenic island, known as the Vanilla Island, by first visiting a Vanilla Plantation. You will have a brief tour of the grounds of the plantation and a presentation into farming and cultivation of this precious spice.
Afterwards you will continue your guided tour and you will learn about the history, the legends and present-day life of Taha'a. There will be a number of photo stops along the route.
Your final stop will be at the 'Motu Pearl Village' where you will find out all about the creation of the Tahitian Black Pearl and enjoy refreshments and local fruits in season. After the visit you will be transferred by boat directly to Motu Mahana.

Coral garden drift snorkeling
Depart the ship by covered motorized boat for a 15-minute ride along the west coast of Taha'a.
Upon arrival, you will disembark the boat for a guided walk across an uninhabited islet, or motu, located just off the coast. After reaching the other side of the motu, you will commence your snorkeling session. Your guide will lead you as the current carries you through the shallow lagoon on the way back to the boat. The drift can be moderate to strenuous depending on the strength of the current. The drift is done in a single line with one snorkeling guide leading the 12 snorkeller spaced 10 feet apart and one snorkelling guide closing up on the group. This area abounds with a spectacular variety of tropical fish and amazing coral.
Upon returning to the boat, refreshments and additional snorkelling time will be made available before you are transferred back to Motu Mahana.

Catamaran sail in Tahaa
Get on-board a luxurious catamaran and indulge yourself with a breathtaking cruise in the amazing waters of Taha'a Lagoon. Thanks to the shallow draft, Catamaran will take you to shallow areas, over multiple shades of blues and turquoises of the lagoon.
While your crew sets up the sails for a magnificent sailing, feel the sea breeze as your eyes discover beauty of the Vanilla Island. During your sail, fresh fruits and juice will be served and your Tahitian hostess will help you better understand the Polynesian culture.

Start your tour with a short introduction on how to drive your wave runner. After, your guide will take you for a ride around the northeastern side of Taha’a’s lagoon.
Stop for explanations on the way to your snorkeling stop. The wave runner has a spacious compartment where you can store your snorkeling gear. Lagoon & ocean tour

Slow paced belvedere & pineapple valley by e-Bike
Enjoy a slow-paced bicycle guided tour to Belvedere and the Pineapple Valley. Your guide will commence the tour by giving you an introductory course on how to use the simple E-bike settings. Choose the setting that fit your fitness level, from no assistance to Turbo and off you go visiting the beautiful Pineapple Island.
At every stop the guide will provide you with a multitude of details about the sites and their history. Visit Cooks and Opunohu bays, stop at the Marae (archaeological sites) and Belvedere Lookout point. Pedal through the pineapple plantations and stop for a jam tasting at the Agricultural High school. Your e-motor assisted mountain bike will make it really easy to complete the tour and even the less active guest will feel like Le Tour de France winner.

Waverunner adventure*
Experience Moorea's idyllic coastal beauty> in an exciting new way during this fun-filled waverunner adventure. Depart the pier for the boat transfer to the wave runner center.
Upon arrival, you will receive your safety and simple operating instructions from your guide, then embark your wave runner and begin your ride. Led by your guide, you will cruise either along the west coast of Moorea or through the spectacular Opunohu Bay or Cook's Bay.
Along the way, a stop will be made at Motu Ono for an opportunity to feed elegant and graceful rays as they swim around you in the shallow water. Fresh fruit and beverages will then be served on the motu.
Following your visit, you will be transferred to the waverunner center, then back to the pier.

Aito Off-Road safari
Explore the volcanic crater from which Moorea was created during this scenic, off-road island safari via off-road vehicle.
Depart the pier in an off-road vehicle for a journey inside the volcanic crater from which Moorea was created. En route, you will discover the heart of a huge pineapple plantation inside the island's deepest valley. Moorea, Polynesian's Green Garden, is renowned for its Agricultural School, which receives students from all the outer islands. A stop will be made here to sample some homemade jam. Ice cream and local fruit juices will also be available for purchase.
Your guide will then drive you across a large plantation filled with vanilla, bananas, grapefruits, and oranges, and will acquaint you with the island's diverse flora and fauna. Next, you will continue to an open-air temple, or marae.
After a stop to learn about the Polynesian culture, you will ascend to the top of Belvedere lookout for spectacular vistas over Cook's and Opunohu Bays. You will then descend that mountain and proceed to Magic Mountain, where a little path surrounded by grapefruit, lemon, and orange trees opens up to a panoramic view stretching across Opunohu Bay, the lagoon, and the sea.
Your tour will conclude with a stop at the Fruit Juice Factory and Distillery of Moorea to sample their liquors. Following your visit, you will re-board the off-road vehicle for your return ride to the pier.

Moorea by catajets*
Get an up-close look at Tahiti's idyllic beauty from above and below sea level during this catajet and snorkeling adventure in Moorea.
Depart the pier for the boat transfer to the base. Upon arrival, you will receive your safety and riding instructions from your guide, then embark your two-seat catajet for a 1.5-hour ride in an idyllic lagoon on Moorea. Led by your guide at an easy speed, you will take in panoramic views of the East Coast and Cook and Opunohu Bays, or the West Coast (weather permitting).
Next, a stop will be made for snorkeling in the shallow waters. After putting on your mask, fins and snorkel, you will explore the beauty of the tropical fish and coral formations. Your adventure will continue with a stop on a sand bar, where you will have an opportunity to play with stingrays.
Following refreshments, you will return to the catajet base, then be transferred back to the pier.

Depart the pier in Cook's Bay for the brief transfer via minivan to the Hilton Moorea Lagoon & Spa, where the ATVs are based. Upon arrival, you will receive your safety and riding instructions. Then, begin your ATV ride. Your guide will lead you along the road to Belvedere lookout for magnificent views and photo opportunities over Cook's Bay, Opunohu Bay, and Mt. Rotui.
You will also venture across the valley, through a river, and past pineapple fields, and stop at an ancient open-air temple, or marae, to learn about the Polynesian culture. Island drive & belvedere
Explore Moorea's exquisite beauty and day-to-day Polynesian lifestyle during this scenic orientation drive around the island. Depart the pier for a scenic and relaxing drive around Moorea. The distance around this idyllic island is approximately 38 miles (62 kilometers), and your ride offers many spectacular sites and photo opportunities. You will ride past pineapple fields and visit an ancient Tahitian stone temple, or marae, en route to Belvedere.
At the summit, take in magnificent views of Cook's Bay, Opunohu Bay, and Mt. Rotui. Your ride continues on through the village of Papetoai and past the nearby tombs of the first missionaries. Your coach will return to the pier via the other side of the island. Dolphin watching expedition
Join American marine biologist Dr. Michael Poole, a dolphin specialist in French Polynesia since 1987, or his assistant for this combination eco-tour and research expedition focusing on wild, free-ranging dolphins.
Depart the pier aboard a covered boat for the scenic ride to Moorea's reef. Spinner dolphins and rough-tooth dolphins can be seen around Moorea, with spinner dolphins regularly swimming inside the lagoon. Most often you will see schools of acrobatic spinner dolphins, while listening to informative commentary about their remarkable life and society at sea. Lagoon discovery with snorkeling
Experience the beauty of Cook's and Opunohu Bays from above and below the water during this snorkeling and beach adventure aboard a modern covered boat.
Depart the pier aboard a comfortable and modern boat featuring covered areas designed to protect you from the direct rays of the sun. As you cruise along these majestic bays, your captain will inform you about the legends, geography, and flora and fauna of Moorea.
Next, you will continue on to a gorgeous sandy islet surrounded by transparent turquoise waters that are shallow enough to walk comfortably in the sea. Upon arrival, you will have a rare opportunity to feed the awaiting rays; they will gracefully glide around you in exchange for a piece of fish. Aquablue – Underwater walk
Explore Moorea's splendid marine life in a unique new way during this underwater walking and snorkeling adventure.
Depart the pier for the drive to the Intercontinental Moorea Resort & Spa. Upon arrival, you will meet your instructor, then be outfitted with your wet suit and water shoes before embarking on a 10-minute boat ride inside the majestic lagoon of Moorea. The crew will anchor the boat off the coast of Motu Fareone or inside the lagoon in Papetoai (depending on sea and weather conditions). Your certified diving instructor will explain your safety and diving instructions, help you put on your helmet, and assist you with descending the ladder into the crystal-clear water.
You will then commence your 30-minute underwater adventure at a depth of 12 feet. Along the way, you will see an abundance of fish that include triggerfish, butterfly fish, groupers, and parrotfish, swimming amid beautiful coral heads. Stingrays are also plentiful at this dive spot. While your guide feeds them, you will be able to take a closer look at these unusual ocean denizens.

Catamaran sail in Moorea
Explore Moorea's beauty from above and below the water during this relaxing sailing and snorkeling excursion aboard a catamaran.
Depart the pier aboard the beautiful, 43-foot catamaran, and sail to Moorea's northern coast, then on to a pair of French Polynesian's most beautiful bays: Cook's and Opunohu. En route, you can sit back and relax, or savor a fruit juice under the canopy astern. Upon reaching Opunohu Bay, the captain will drop anchor in the clear blue waters of the lagoon. After receiving your safety and snorkeling instructions, you will have the chance to discover the underwater tiki place and the marine life residing there, including coral formations and reef fish.

Lagoon tour and marine fauna
Go for an authentic, small-group cruise on the island of Moorea to discover the marine fauna of its lagoon.
You will first sail into Opunohu or Cook Bay in search of spinner dolphins which generally follow the coasts. A first snorkeling stop is then planned on a shallow sandbank in the lagoon to meet stingrays and blacktip sharks. This activity is accessible to all ages without any particular physical aptitude. A second snorkeling stop will take place at the coral canyon. In this unique place, you can let yourself drift with the current into slightly deeper waters. It is recommended to know how to swim and to use snorkeling equipment (fins, mask and snorkel), however, for those who wish, it is always possible to stay in the boat to observe green turtles and other species of fish multi-colored. Legend has it that over 500 years ago the men of Beqa Island were given the gift of being able to walk on fire by an eel in exchange for its life. Today, the descendants of these warriors carry on the tradition, observing the same strict rules of tabu as the ancestors. Men are chosen as representatives from different villages. Ten days prior to the ceremony, they segregate themselves from females and are not allowed to eat coconut. The fire pit is dug out 12 to 15 feet in diameter and 3 to 4 feet deep. Large river stones are then collected and placed in the pit, filling it up. Six to eight hours before the ceremony a log fire is built over the top of the stones, heating them up. The Fire walkers are led to the arena accompanied by dances and chants. Leaves and vines are grazed across the stones to prepare the pit. The men then proceed to walk across the stones in a few different phases. Finally, a bundle of grass is thrown onto the pit and the group huddles in the centre while chanting a song. Bands around the ankle of each participant, which are made of tree ferns that do not burn, are thrown into the pit. The pit is finally covered with earth, and days later, the ankle bands are recovered and ground up, mixed with water, and eaten by the Fire walkers.
A tender boat will transfer you from the ship to the beach on Beqa Island. From the beach landing area, you will walk approximately 20-25 minutes to the village along an uneven, rough dirt path. Upon your arrival in the village, you will be greeted and welcomed by the fearsome Fijian warriors in traditional costumes. Villagers serenade and escort you to the village green where a traditional kava ceremony will take place. You will then be seated in a covered area to watch the ceremony and the Meke, a special dance performed by the dancers normally only for their Paramount Chief. The highlight of the village visit is the Fire walking!
After all the excitement, you will walk back to the beach for your transfer back to the ship.

Fiji's culture & heritage tour
Visit Fiji's capital city, Suva – centre of commerce and the seat of government. This guided drive tour will take you to see various iconic sites such as the President's Residence and nearby Albert Park (where Kingsford Smith landed his small aircraft on his epic flight from the United States to Australia in 1928) as well as Thurston Botanical Gardens.
During the tour you will also see The Borron House (home of Fiji's greatest statesman Ratu Sukuna and for use only by foreign dignitaries). You will also have the opportunity to visit the Fiji Museum. Bilo Battery Historical Site and World War II Heritage Site is also included in the tour on 12 April only.
During World War II, the guns at Bilopeninsula lent a degree of comfort to the people in a time of uncertainty and fears of news of the Japanese invasion flashed across the Pacific. The guns once pointed out from the side of Bilopeninsula like twin fingers of death, down to the Bay of islands in Lamiand across Suva harbour to the capital. They were placed there to guard the passage in the reef leading to Suva harbour.

Molituva village
Molituva is an old village fort that was the dwelling place of one of Fiji’s most fiercest and feared warriors. Touring the ruins of this great fort one could envisage the lives of these greater fighters. The dug out moats still visible and to walk the maze of tracks build by the warriors is indeed an experience that is not easily forgotten.
The Molituva tour takes you back in time and you can feel the eerie feeling as if you were there in those primitive days when witnessing the strewn old pottery, stone axes and traded steel axes dated back to the 13th century. On arrival, you will be met and greeted with a serenade, then you will be informed on the village protocol that needs to be observed. Fully dressed warriors and traditionally dressed women escort you to the Village hall, where you can observe the different activities performed such as husking and scraping coconuts, weaving baskets and mats…

Colo-i-Suva trek tour & waterfall
Located 20 minutes from the city, Colo-i-Suva is a national park that boasts a crystal-clear river set in serene and peaceful surroundings amidst a spectacular rainforest making this a perfect spot for a moderate trek followed by a cool dip in the waterfall.
The weather is much cooler than Suva City with temperatures falling to as low as ten degrees at altitudes of 120-180 meters accompanied by frequent rainfalls. The air is clean and crisp with only the calls of local bird life penetrating the atmosphere.

Snorkelling in Beqa Lagoon
Beqa Lagoon tour is an exhilarating high-speed adventure and coral reef tour that will take in the magnificent reefs that surround Beqa Lagoon and its islands. You could see many varieties of marine life and fish species from reef, bull and tiger sharks, stingrays, barracudas, groupers, wrasses, parrot fish, giant trevally, moray eels and turtles that inhabit the reef areas.

Nakawaqa Waterfall & Rainforest
Your day begins with a 40-to-50-minute drive along the cross island road to Nakawaqa Rainforest located on the northeastern part of Savusavu town.
Guests are welcomed on arrival by the villagers and escorted to the waterfall following trails in the rainforest. Normally 30 minutes trek in the forest from and to the waterfall. Choose one of the three pools to have a dip or refreshing swim. Wainiliku Creek is surrounded by 200 acres of virgin tropical rainforest with huge indigenous trees and other species. The walk to the falls is under the shade of the forest canopy.
Return to the waiting area for fruit refreshments and browse amongst the local village handicrafts before boarding the bus to return to Savusavu.

Savusavu Sightseeing
Your first stop on this tour will be just outside of town at the factory of Copra Millers of Fiji - the leading manufacturer of coconut oil in Fiji.
Witness the processing of Virgin coconut oil which is extracted from the coconut flesh with the minimal amount of processing i.e. no high heat or pressure and no harsh chemical solvents, bleaching agents, etc. The oil is completely unrefined to ensure it retains all the natural goodness of the coconut itself. There is a huge demand for coconut oil overseas. Malaysia and Taiwan are Fiji's biggest markets.
Re-board the coach and enjoy a leisurely scenic drive along the coastal picturesque Hibiscus Highway. En route, pass the renowned Namale Resort (owned by Anthony Robbins - motivational guru) and Oneva Estate, once a prosperous copra plantation which has now been developed into a residential subdivision and is home to many expatriate retirees. Waisali rain forest & Reserve
The Waisali Reserve is one of the few remaining unexploited forests in Fiji and is the natural habitat for the native Fijian hardwood – some of the trees being over 100 years old. On the two-hour forest trail engulfed by majestic trees you may be fortunate to see or hear the red breasted musk parrot or the beautiful orange dove – both endemic and rare bird species.
The quiet serene is disturbed only by the occasional sound of the barking pigeon and moving stream water. Take time to rest in the bur beside the rock pool which is home to finish species, eel, prawn and freshwater snails. The reserve fresh water fauna are unique so the pool is kept undisturbed and is not suitable for swimming. This tour involves uphill walking so good walking shoes are recommended.

Nukubalavu village tour
Experience the day-to-day life of Fijian people during a memorable visit to an authentic Fijian village. Journey along the scenic coast road to visit Nukubalavu Village, home of the paramount chief of Savusavu. Guests will be greeted by the village elders and invited to witness and participate in a kava ceremony where the powdered kava is mixed with water and presented by a'bilo' (coconut cup) to those who wish to taste this ceremonial drink. Following the ceremony the guide will take guests on a tour of the village to experience the warmth of the native Fijians. Guests may mingle with villagers and their children to learn more about their culture and witness traditional art craftwork. Snorkelling tour
At the edge of the reef which runs out from Savusavu Bay is a Lighthouse, which gives its name to the famed snorkelling site.
Board either the "Island Fever" or the "Island Paradise" and take an enjoyable fast and scenic ride along the inside of the Bay to snorkel amongst beautiful coral and tropical fish in crystal-clear turquoise waters. Savusavu is home to some of the most vibrant and colourful coral in Fiji. There are numerous plate corals, soft spaghetti corals and fish, fish, fish…. myriads of black and white sergeant fish as well as clown fish, orange and purple anthias, trumpet fish, pale green damsel fish, humpbacked wrasse and Maori wrasse. The scene takes on the appearance of a tropical aquarium as abundant small fish dart in and out of the striking coral. Giant clams, grouper and parrotfish are also commonly seen in and around the coral formations. Sea turtles frequent the Lighthouse so it is always a treat to see one or two. Occasionally a friendly white-tip reef shark will be seen.

Polynesian cultural tour
Board an island bus at Halaevalu Wharf and proceed to Eneio Botanical Garden. This tour offers a truly interactive experience which allows you to relive Polynesian yesterday and experience native lifestyles through guided, on-site, live demonstration and gentle strolling tours amongst the lush tropical paradise of the stunning and only Botanical Garden in Tonga. You will be fascinated with the various demonstrations which includes the making of clothing from bark, along with the creation of jewellery and mats from pandanus leaves, the making of milk and products from coconuts, the making of beverages from plant roots, the production of essence from vanilla beans, and juice from nonu fruits. Swallow cave & island getaway
Vava'u's big island is set in a cluster of nearly 40 smaller islands. The only harbour providing access to Neiafu is considered one of the most picturesque in the Pacific.
Your tour will consist of a boat cruise that winds through the harbour to the island of Kapa. The main attraction of Kapa Island is beautiful Swallow's Cave which perforates a cliff at its northern end. The cave is in fact inhabited not by swallows but by hundreds of swift lets that flit about in the dim light and nest in the darkness of the cave's upper reaches. You can only view the swallow cave from outside from your boat unless weather permits you to swim into the cave.
Afterwards you will continue to Falevai Mui Houma Beach. With its crystal blue waters and perfect beach, it is one of the most exquisite places on Vava'u Island. You will have time to enjoy a swim in the warm, clear ocean or simply relax on the white, sandy beach.

Circle island tour
From the pier, your around-the-island drive will take you past several of the island's villages. You will visit a marae (sacred Polynesian temple grounds) site. Pass through plantations of various crops grown here on Aitutaki. Learn about the island's myths and legends while taking in its beautiful scenery.
Aitutaki has a unique geographical make-up – the island is a volcanic atoll with the typical volcanic peaks in the center of the island with the encircling coral reef ringed by the offshore islands (motus) and the lagoon in the center. The Circle Island Tour is a great way to see the island and meet the locals.
Visit the inland villages of Tautu Vaipae and Vaipeka, drive along the coast and see the remnants of the Copra Production Facility, and see how the people of this tiny idyllic island live. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet the locals and take photographs along the way.

Snorkeling tour
You will board small boats each seating 10 guests and travel to Motu Maina where you can snorkel and those that wish would have the option of visiting the motu. It takes approximately 15 minutes to travel each way, as the boats are very fast.
This area has beautiful giant clams and is a marine reserve and is a nesting area of the red-tailed tropic birds.
You will return to your ship at the end of the visit.

Lagoon cruise with beach break
Aitutaki's deep blue lagoon is considered to be one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world. Part volcanic and part atoll, the island's geographical structure makes this lagoon unique.
This tour will give you the opportunity to experience the best Aitutaki has to offer in the short time available during your visit.
You will board your boat (types and sizes vary) and cruise through the lagoon, visiting offshore motus. At One Foot Island, you will stop for a lunch of barbecued fish, salads, and fresh fruit.

Aquabike adventure*
Explore the underwater wonders of Bora-Bora during a 30-minute ride on the Aquabike underwater scooter.
Depart the pier in Bora-Bora via motorboat for the brief transfer to the hydraulic scooter platform. Upon arrival, you will meet your dive instructor/guide, who will brief you on the scooter, equipment, and safety procedures. Operating the scooter is very simple; riders only need to step onto the scooter and steer it using a small wheel. The Aquabike underwater scooter is equipped with dive tanks, providing continuous airflow, so your head stays completely dry. After descending to a shallow depth of 10 feet (3 meters) maximum, your 30-minute underwater exploration will begin. Your dive instructor will guide you in the water and throughout the tour to help ensure a smooth and easy underwater ride.

Lagoon cruise & Polynesian feast
Lagoon tour of Bora Bora in a traditional outrigger canoe (motorized), with ukulele animation and narration on culture, history and nature of Bora Bora.
The lagoon tour includes three stops. The first one is for snorkeling in a coral garden, where visitors can discover many different colorful fish, corals, and many other inhabitants of a wonderful natural ecosystem. The guide accompanies the visitors in the water. The second stop is the visit of the stingrays in shallow water. These rays are tamed since more than 20 years. The approach is gentle and respectful, keeping in mind preservation of nature. The last stop is on the ocean side, for the observation of black tip reef sharks.
After the morning of snorkeling, Polynesian feast is served on a private island (motu). Lunch is cooked in a traditional earth oven made with volcanic rocks, and covered by banana leaves. The guests watch the opening of the oven, and listen to the explanations of the guide. The table is set in the lagoon, with an umbrella to protect guests from the sun. Lagoon excursion with Maohi Nui
Lagoon tour of Bora Bora in a traditional outrigger canoe (motorized), with ukulele animation and narration on culture, history and nature of Bora Bora. Leaves and flowers decorate the canoe and protect the visitors from the sun. In case of rain, raincoats are also at one's disposal. To enhance comfort, cushions cover the wooden seats. The lagoon tour includes three stops. Experience the unparalleled beauty of Bora Bora's lagoon in a fun-filled new way during this scenic and exciting waverunner excursion around the island.
Depart the pier for the brief transfer via Le Truck to the waverunner launching point. Upon arrival, your guide will provide you with your safety and waverunner instructions, then lead you on a one-hour journey to the lagoon's most remote and idyllic spots. Bora Bora island tour by "Le truck"
Explore the island paradise of Bora Bora during this scenic orientation tour via Le truck. For a long time, this picturesque mode of transport has been the emblematic means of transport in Polynesia, especially on the Society Islands.
Depart the pier aboard a Le truck. First, you will drive through the district of Fa'anui. Along the way, you will pass by small villages and fields that offer a glimpse into the everyday life of the people of Bora Bora. A brief stop will be made at Fa'anui Bay for photographs of Mounts Otemanu and Pahia.
Your drive will continue on to the ancient ceremonial site of Fa'anui Marae, followed by a look at the bunkers constructed by American GIs during WWII. Next, a stop will be made at Mama Edna's to sample such local delicacies as breadfruit, poe mixed with coconut milk (not marinated), taro and tropical fruit. You will also have an opportunity to buy some local, hand-painted pareos. Shark & ray watching by glass bottom boat
Get acquainted with sharks and rays in a unique new way during a glass-bottom boat ride in Bora Bora and a swim with stingrays.
After embarking your glass-bottom boat at the pier, you will depart for a brief cruise. Your guide will then tie the boat to a mooring in about 25 feet of water and try to attract black-tipped sharks. You will observe the dance of these ocean denizens and, if you are lucky, spot some lemon sharks known to frequent the area. Next, you will proceed to a shallower, clear lagoon for a rare opportunity to view graceful stingrays and even swim alongside them.

Relaxing time at the Lagoonarium
Depart the pier in Vaitape (or Anau) aboard an outrigger canoe for a scenic ride in the Bora Bora lagoon (weather permitting). You will then continue to the Lagoonarium, with its white sandy beach and open-air aquarium. From the beach you will have a magnificent view of the island of Bora Bora. Upon arrival, enjoy an opportunity to swim in separate enclosed areas. During your visit, you will also participate in up-close encounters with marine life, including sharks, rays, jack fish, turtles, parrot fish, and more. Snorkeling begins from the beach in shallow water ranging in depth from 3-10 feet and is suitable for beginners and experienced snorkelers. Your local guides will show you how to carefully approach the marine life, will present you the motu and you will invite to participate in weaving coconut palm, sheathing coconut and pareo demonstrations.
After your visit, you will be served fresh fruit and spend some time relaxing on the beach before heading back to the pier.

Taha'a cultural tour
After a brief tender boat ride to the pier, you will be met by your local guide and "Le Truck".
You will start exploring this scenic island, known as the Vanilla Island, by first visiting a Vanilla Plantation. You will have a brief tour of the grounds of the plantation and a presentation into farming and cultivation of this precious spice.
Afterwards you will continue your guided tour and you will learn about the history, the legends and present-day life of Taha'a. There will be a number of photo stops along the route.
Your final stop will be at the 'Motu Pearl Village' where you will find out all about the creation of the Tahitian Black Pearl and enjoy refreshments and local fruits in season. After the visit you will be transferred by boat directly to Motu Mahana.

Coral garden drift snorkeling
Depart the ship by covered motorized boat for a 15-minute ride along the west coast of Taha'a.
Upon arrival, you will disembark the boat for a guided walk across an uninhabited islet, or motu, located just off the coast. After reaching the other side of the motu, you will commence your snorkeling session. Your guide will lead you as the current carries you through the shallow lagoon on the way back to the boat. The drift can be moderate to strenuous depending on the strength of the current. The drift is done in a single line with one snorkeling guide leading the 12 snorkeller spaced 10 feet apart and one snorkelling guide closing up on the group. This area abounds with a spectacular variety of tropical fish and amazing coral.
Upon returning to the boat, refreshments and additional snorkelling time will be made available before you are transferred back to Motu Mahana.

Slow paced belvedere & pineapple valley by e-Bike
Enjoy a slow-paced bicycle guided tour to Belvedere and the Pineapple Valley. Your guide will commence the tour by giving you an introductory course on how to use the simple E-bike settings. Choose the setting that fit your fitness level, from no assistance to Turbo and off you go visiting the beautiful Pineapple Island.
At every stop the guide will provide you with a multitude of details about the sites and their history. Aito Off-Road safari
Explore the volcanic crater from which Moorea was created during this scenic, off-road island safari via off-road vehicle.
Depart the pier in an off-road vehicle for a journey inside the volcanic crater from which Moorea was created. En route, you will discover the heart of a huge pineapple plantation inside the island's deepest valley. Moorea, Polynesian's Green Garden, is renowned for its Agricultural School, which receives students from all the outer islands. A stop will be made here to sample some homemade jam. Ice cream and local fruit juices will also be available for purchase.
Your guide will then drive you across a large plantation filled with vanilla, bananas, grapefruits, and oranges, and will acquaint you with the island's diverse flora and fauna. Next, you will continue to an open-air temple, or marae.
After a stop to learn about the Polynesian culture, you will ascend to the top of Belvedere lookout for spectacular vistas over Cook's and Opunohu Bays. Depart the pier for the boat transfer to the base. Upon arrival, you will receive your safety and riding instructions from your guide, then embark your two-seat catajet for a 1.5-hour ride in an idyllic lagoon on Moorea. Led by your guide at an easy speed, you will take in panoramic views of the East Coast and Cook and Opunohu Bays, or the West Coast (weather permitting).

Depart the pier in Cook's Bay for the brief transfer via minivan to the Hilton Moorea Lagoon & Spa, where the ATVs are based. Upon arrival, you will receive your safety and riding instructions. Then, begin your ATV ride. Your guide will lead you along the road to Belvedere lookout for magnificent views and photo opportunities over Cook's Bay, Opunohu Bay, and Mt. Rotui.

The distance around this idyllic island is approximately 38 miles (62 kilometers), and your ride offers many spectacular sites and photo opportunities. Aquablue – Underwater walk
Explore Moorea's splendid marine life in a unique new way during this underwater walking and snorkeling adventure.
Depart the pier for the drive to the Intercontinental Moorea Resort & Spa. Upon arrival, you will meet your instructor, then be outfitted with your wet suit and water shoes before embarking on a 10-minute boat ride inside the majestic lagoon of Moorea. The crew will anchor the boat off the coast of Motu Fareone or inside the lagoon in Papetoai (depending on sea and weather conditions). Catamaran sail in Moorea
Explore Moorea's beauty from above and below the water during this relaxing sailing and snorkeling excursion aboard a catamaran.
Depart the pier aboard the beautiful, 43-foot catamaran, and sail to Moorea's northern coast, then on to a pair of French Polynesian's most beautiful bays: Cook's and Opunohu. En route, you can sit back and relax, or savor a fruit juice under the canopy astern. Upon reaching Opunohu Bay, the captain will drop anchor in the clear blue waters of the lagoon. After receiving your safety and snorkeling instructions, you will have the chance to discover the underwater tiki place and the marine life residing there, including coral formations and reef fish.
Afterwards, you will set sail toward Cook's Bay before returning to your ship. The well-equipped catamaran offers facilities that include a rest room and shower, and a shaded area with comfortable seats.

Entry into and out of the water is by a vertical ladder, aft of the catamaran. Sailing time and itinerary is subject to wind and current conditions. You will be required to remove your shoes upon boarding the vessel. Wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, and bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a towel from the ship. Bring also your snorkel gear from the ship. The itinerary may change subject to wind and weather conditions. Kindly note that the use of sails is weather dependent.

BBQ on Motu & snorkelling
Your boat will take you through the beautiful waters of Cook's and Opunohu Bays whilst enjoying the scenery of the north coast of Moorea. Arrive at the Stingray spot for a moment to swim with these graceful and elegant creatures.
From here you will continue to the private motu where a BBQ lunch awaits you. Water, beer, sodas and soft drinks available with lunch. You will also see the preparation of Poisson Cru with Coconut Milk as well as demonstrations of Coconuts and Pareo tying.
There will be time to swim, snorkel and enjoy the island.

The 3 pinus hike
Set off on a unique journey to the heart of Polynesian biodiversity with a professional guide who will confidently accompany you through the forest and respectfully introduce you to the richness of the Polynesian universe.
This 3 pinus hike is aimed at nature lovers who wish to enjoy an authentic and ecological visit to Moorea: stroll in the pineapple fields, visit to archaeological sites (Marae), discovery of the ancestral trail and magnificent view at the summit on Mount Rotui and Cook and Opunohu bays.

This hiking circuit includes approximately 6 kilometers of walking. Participants are advised to bring comfortable hiking shoes, insect repellent, a hat, sunglasses, and a bottle of water.

Lagoon tour and marine fauna
Go for an authentic, small-group cruise on the island of Moorea to discover the marine fauna of its lagoon.
You will first sail into Opunohu or Cook Bay in search of spinner dolphins which generally follow the coasts. A first snorkeling stop is then planned on a shallow sandbank in the lagoon to meet stingrays and blacktip sharks. This activity is accessible to all ages without any particular physical aptitude. A second snorkeling stop will take place at the coral canyon. In this unique place, you can let yourself drift with the current into slightly deeper waters. It is recommended to know how to swim and to use snorkeling equipment (fins, mask and snorkel), however, for those who wish, it is always possible to stay in the boat to observe green turtles and other species of fish multi-colored. Before returning to the dock, a third snorkeling stop will be offered at the submerged Tiki and coral garden, to complete your visit to the seabed of the lagoon.

Enjoy breakfast aboard Le Paul Gauguin before checking out and disembarking.
Our local representative will greet you at the pier and you will depart by coach on an island exploration.
After passing through downtown Papeete, you will arrive at the district of Arue to visit “James Norman Hall Home”. This memorial museum is the exact replica of the original elegant green colonial home of this famous writer. Most known for the “Mutiny on the Bounty” trilogy and other known novels that were transformed into Hollywood movies.
You will then continue to Venus Point on Matavai Bay. Here you will see a Victorian-era lighthouse and monument commemorating the passage of Captain James Cook who came to observe the transit of Venus in 1769 as part of his work for the Royal Society.
Next, a stop will be allowed at Tahara'a “One Tree Hill”. The lookout provides impressive panoramic views across the “Sea of Moons” with Tahiti’s sister island, Moorea.
The tour will end at the InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa 4*, where you will have lunch.
