Dotted with hundreds of captivating islands running along the coastlines and boasting an exceptional heritage, the Adriatic surprises, dazzles and enchants. Its shores, edged with beaches, coves and bays, leave indelible memories for all who sail its calm waters, sparkling in turquoise. Set sail aboard Le Bougainville for an 8-day cruise discovering its cities of unparalleled splendour.
Your voyage will begin in Italy with an embarkation in Venice. An opportunity to discover or rediscover the sublime city of the Doges, with its many canals, its vaporetti and its mythical gondolas before heading to Croatia and the city of Rovinj.
To the north of Dalmatia, the charming fishing village of Primosten unfolds before you, with its pretty traditional stone houses and its architectural heritage influenced by the Venetian Republic. It is the gateway to the magnificent Krka Waterfalls and you will fall in love with its authenticity and exceptional environment.
Split will open its doors to you to discover its historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with treasures such as Diocletian's Palace or the Cathedral of Saint Domnius.
After a stopover in Hvar, Le Bougainville will set sail for Brac Island. Bol, the island’s oldest port town, will reveals itself through a maze of picturesque little streets, edged with traditional homes with white façades and red-tiled roofs, and through its paradisiacal beaches, like the most famous of them: the pebble beach of Zlatni Rat.
Further north, off the Istrian coast, there lies an archipelago called Brijuni, which is a real paradise on earth. On this archipelago’s idyllic islets, completely devoid of cars, let yourself fall under the spell of its isolated coves, ancient ruins and its National Park.
You will then call at Pula, the most Roman of Croatian cities, before heading for Slovenia. The old town of Piran, girdled by ramparts, will transport you into a medieval atmosphere, tinged with Venetian colour. As a grand finale, your voyage will draw to an end in Venice the Serenissima and its lagoon.

Ideal clothes for life on board:
During the days spent on board, you are advised to wear comfortable clothes or casual outfits. The entire ship is air-conditioned, so a light sweater, a light jacket or a shawl may be necessary. When moving about in the public areas of the ship and the decks, light but comfortable shoes are recommended.

All our cabins have a safe. We recommend not to go ashore with valuable jewellery.

Kid Explorers
PONANT has joined forces with the Maud Fontenoy Foundation to run its Kid Explorers children’s club.
As part of its commitment to safeguarding the oceans, during your cruise PONANT offers an activity programme for children aged 4 to 13 years on all our ships, and from 6 to 13 years on board Le Commandant Charcot to familiarise them with issues related to protecting our oceans. We have special educational kits, activity sheets and themed videos all provided by the Foundation.
Every day a team of activity leaders organises creative activities (crafts, painting, etc.), fun educational workshops, board games, introduction to meditation sessions and more, as well as activities specific to the cruise itinerary and number of participants. There are also activities ashore to prolong the experience for your Kid Explorers such as walks and treasure hunts.
The activity programme is available every day.(The precise times will be provided by animators).To best meet your needs, the schedule is adapted to fit in with your cruise programme. For more information, contact the team organising the activities.

Since 2008, the Maud Fontenoy Foundation has been operating in France and internationally to protect our oceans. We organise educational activities focused on the environment for the younger generation and general public, with support from scientific partners and the French Ministry of National Education. The latter has made us responsible for its Sea Education programme and relaunch of the Sea Classes initiative. Our aim is both ecological and social: to protect the ocean and save people. We start from a strong principle that protecting the environment, particularly the ocean, is a humanitarian issue that affects all mankind, without exception. For us, the oceans are a powerful force, a potential for the future. Every year, 700,000 children benefit from our programmes.

Rovinj is located in Istria, a region bordering Slovenia. This becomes apparent as you walk through its old cobblestoned town. There are many monuments of Venetian influence here. If you study the Balbi arch, you will see the winged lion, symbol of Venice. The bell-tower erected beside Saint Euphemia Cathedral was designed like the bell of Saint Mark in Venice. From the top of the tower, you can scan the entire historical district. To absorb its quaint atmosphere, take a walk in the ochre and sepia-coloured streets leading to bustling squares and terraces shaded by canvas awnings.

Located south of Sibenik, Primosten is a picturesque village on the Dalmatian Coast, whose charm is distilled, via its narrow streets, through pretty stone houses and an architectural heritage influenced by the Venetian Republic. Built on a rocky peninsula, the historic city was connected to land by a mobile bridge from which it earned its name in the 16th century: in Croatian, primostiti means “to bridge”. The high point of the village, the Church of St. George watches over the stunning bay enveloped in crystal-clear waters while, to the north of the peninsula, the charming beach of Raduca reveals itself between the skies and the pine forest. Further on, the vines of the renowned babić varietal, protected from erosion by low stone walls, complete this idyllic setting.

On the Dalmatian coast, the town of Split offers cultural visits in a seaside atmosphere. Close to the seafront shaded by palm trees, the historical centre listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts a unique building: the Diocletian’s Palace. Here you will explore its galleries, courtyards with carved columns, as well as a former mausoleum converted into a church, namely Saint Domnius Cathedral. If you get peckish, stop off at a terrace in the Pjaca, the main square in the old town, where you can try a palacinka, a kind of pancake topped with melted cheese.

Off the coast of Split, Hvar will surprise you by its traditions that have not changed since Antiquity. The country’s oldest town, Stari Grad, is here on this Dalmatian Island. The town nestles by a cove on the north-west coast, surrounded by dry stone wall structures on the Stari Grad plains. These have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site because they were built in the time of the Ancient Greeks. From these parcels of land come wines and olive oil manufactured manually. In the upper part of town, it is possible to discover hams and cheeses made by local producers.

Bol is a destination in the Dalmatian archipelago, best kept secret. This picturesque village is located on the southern coast of Brac Island. Its traditional architecture has unbelievable charm: little houses with white facades and red tiled roofs provide the perfect setting for laid-back meanders. Beyond the port, the waterfront promenade leads onto the beaches which are shaded by pines and cypresses. The most famous of them is Zlatni Rat, “the golden horn”. From the belvedere on Vidova Gora mountain, you can see its unusual contours and get an eyeful of the other Adriatic islands.

Viewed from above, the Brijuni archipelago forms rounded shapes in dazzling colours against the blue hues of the Adriatic. This group of 14 Istrian islands has been inhabited by man since the Bronze Age, thanks to its mild climate and favourable geographical position. The architectural heritage of these islands is very significant, since Roman ruins from the 1st century BC can be found here. Vestiges from the Byzantine and Venetian periods round off this deep-dive into the past which continues right up to the 19th century with the arrival of the Austrian industrialist Paul Kupelwieser. By purchasing Veliki Brijun, the largest island in the group, he actively contributed to the reputation of the archipelago among the Austro-Hungarian aristocrats of the Belle Époque. Later on, great political leaders such as Marshal Tito, the former president of Yugoslavia, would mingle here with the great writers of the time, including James Joyce or Thomas Mann. The islands were granted national park status in 1983, for their natural beauty and their biodiversity. Discover this unique corner of paradise on a bike or in a kayak, via land or from the refreshing waters of the Mediterranean.

The Pearl of the Adriatic, lying at the southern tip of the Istrian Peninsula, Pula is undoubtedly the most Roman of all Croatian towns. Some of the greatest pages in history were written here, as the breathtaking ancient remains testify. Take your pick exploring the amphitheatre, the Twin Gates, the Gate of Hercule and the triumphal Arch of the Sergii. Stroll through the busy lanes in the old town, enjoying the warm welcome of the locals, and perhaps you will be tempted to try the famous Kvarner scampi or Istrian ham.

On the Slovenian coast, the picturesque town of Piran stands on a tongue of land bathed by the Adriatic. Its old town, girded by fortifications, provides a medieval atmosphere embossed with Venetian nuances. From Tartini square, you can explore a whole interweave of mysterious streets located on the hillside, leading you to Saint George’s church, built on a hillock overlooking the shoreline. After admiring the view, don’t miss a good look at the nave, and its rich decorations of frescoes and panelling. You will also see that the tower built behind the church reproduces the famous bell-tower of Saint Mark’s square. During your peregrinations, make sure you try a borek, a sort of pasty which can be sweet or savoury, filled with meat or fruit.

Porec and its Basilica
From the pier, board your coach and start your 45-minute scenic drive to Porec.
Once arriving, you will start your walking tour of the old town.
You will begin with the Episcopal Complex of the Euphrasian Basilica in the historic centre of Porec. The group of religious monuments in Porec, where Christianity was established as early as the 4th century, constitutes the most complete surviving complex of its type. The basilica, atrium, baptistery and Episcopal palace are outstanding examples of religious architecture, while the basilica itself combines classical and Byzantine elements.
This complex was enrolled in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1997.
After the visit to the Episcopal Complex, you will have some free time in Porec before rejoining your coach for the drive back to Rovinj.

From the pier, follow your guide and start your walking tour of the historical centre of Rovinj. The historical centre is almost entirely built on a rocky island and connected to the mainland since the 13th century. During your tour, you will discover the Venetian influence and its rich cultural legacy, omnipresent in the architecture of the tall houses with warm red tiled roofs and the narrow streets intersected by covered passageways and archways, decorated with ancient frescoes.
The highlight of your visit will most certainly be the Church of Saint Euphemia, a prestigious building dating from the 8th century. Its 63-metre high bell tower rises out of the city centre, and is the most remarked symbol in the Istria region.
Built on the ancient ruins of a Roman church, it was altered in the 17th century in the Baroque style, and houses the relics of Saint Euphemia. They were brought from Constantinople in the 9th century for their safekeeping in a marble sarcophagus. There is also a mural depicting the life and the martyrdom of the saint. Every year on 16 September, the faithful gather around her tomb.
The church contains several treasures and works of art like Gothic statues from the 15th century and paintings from the 16th and the 17th centuries (The Last Supper and Christ in the Gethsemane).
At the end of your visit, you will enjoy a local snack before returning to your ship.

On this tour, discover nature's wonders: the Krka National Park and its famous waterfalls. A natural frontier between northern and central Dalmatia, the Krka River joins the Adriatic Sea at Sibenik.
From the pier, board your coach for a 45-minute scenic drive to Lozovac entrance. Skradinski Buk, the largest waterfall of the national park, located on river banks, houses mills and wash houses. Upon your arrival, you will have the opportunity to discover the ethnological museum.
Located in the park, the museum provides a great deal of knowledge and history explaining how the park became a wildlife sanctuary for many different species of animals and plant life.
You will then discover the old water-mill where cereals are still ground by water-spun grindstones.
After enjoying some free time, you will re-board your coach and continue to the Village of Stankovci.
In the House of Dalmatian prosciutto Roca, you will be able to learn about the production method of Dalmatian prosciutto and taste different products prepared here.
After visiting the house of Dalmatian Prosciutto and having your lunch, you will join your coach and return to your ship harboured at Split, 1 hour 15 minute drive.

From the pier, you will enjoy a walking tour starting with the Old Town. The Old Town of Split is built on and around the Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian (born in Salona - todays Solin) in the 4th century.
You will see, from outside, the Cathedral of St. Duje (patron saint of the city). According to medieval sources, Archbishop John of Ravenna purified the mausoleum of Diocletian in 650 while getting rid of its idols and founded the Cathedral whose bell tower is now the symbol of Split. The Cathedral is built on the remains of an ancient shrine and is supposed to be the oldest in the world.
Then, you will see, from outside,the Temple of Jupiter, turned into a baptistery by the Christians. Cross the Palace from the southern gate to the North door and discover the ramparts and the immense 'statue of Gregory of Nin' by the Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic.
After the walking tour, you will board your coach and drive to the Stella Croatica Ethno village, a 25-minute drive.
Upon arriving at Klis Village, you will walk through the orchard and olive grove on a winding stone path going through the middle of the garden and further through the aroma park. The ethnographic collection is stored in one part of the village and organized according to the way of life at that time, unit by unit. You will discover the basic parts of the house with all the furniture and equipment that is stored there: fireplace, wine Cellar and bedroom.
You will be able to learn more about olive oil and its benefits - how to recognize a good olive oil. You will taste two sorts of oil - extra virgin olive oil and oil obtained by squeezing olives. Enjoy snack of local products made at Stella Croatica.
Finally, you will return to your ship.

After the short walk (15 minutes) from the port to the Old Town you will start with the walking portion of the tour.
The Old Town of Split is built on and around the spectacular Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian (born in Salona - todays Solin) in the 4th century. The walking tour starts with a visit of the Palace on the ground gallery that is still very well preserved. It offers a good view at how the life in the Palace was organised.
You will also visit the very interesting Cathedral of St. Duje (patron saint of the city). According to medieval sources, Archbishop John of Ravenna purified in 650 the mausoleum of Diocletian by getting rid of its idols and founded the Cathedral whose bell tower is now the symbol of Split.

After the walking tour you will head back to the ship. If you wish to spend some time on your own, you can visit the colourful open market (largest on the coast) or spend some time in the town before returning to the ship.

Hvar may well be one of the most famous Dalmatian islands, but it is brimming with spots that remain secret. Between hidden coves, idyllic islets and preserved pebble beaches, explore the island by sea kayak, and make the most of it to take a dip, with total peace of mind.
- Pregnant women and children under 12 may not participate in this excursion. Participants must be good swimmers and in good physical condition. We recommend you wear a hat, sunglasses and shoes that can get wet, and bring a towel, your refillable water bottle and sun protection. Please wear your swimsuit under your clothes as there are no changing rooms or toilets. Life jackets must be worn. Waterproof compartments are available for storing your personal belongings, but we recommend you bring the minimum. A water tank will be available for you and we will provide you with a snack during this excursion.

This small and charming town is located around a natural port and it is undoubtedly one of the most famous seaside resorts of Dalmatian coast.
A lot of splendid monuments as the Cathedral, the ancient Arsenal and different palaces are bearing witness to a rich history of Gothic and Renaissance arts.
From the pier, follow your guide through narrow tiny streets to the 15th century Franciscan Monastery. The cloister with its rounded arches and a well in the middle dominates the Renaissance monastery. The former spacious refectory and a small, adjacent room have been turned into the monastery museum. Along with a collection of old books and coins, the famous "Last Supper", a work belonging to the Venetian School of Palma the Younger from the end of the 16th century, has the strongest claims on the attention of the numerous visitors.
After crossing the main square, you will pass by the Cathedral of Saint Stephan (outside visit). It was built in stages during the 16th and 17th centuries, while the interior was not wholly completed until the 18th century. From outside, it has the characteristics of the Renaissance style and inside the baroque style.
Then, you will visit the Benedictine Monastery, which holds a rich collection of lace made of agave leaves.
After this walking tour you may follow your guide back to the pier or stay in town for some time at leisure.

Considered one of the most beautiful and popular Croatian islands, Hvar still retains a discreet charm, especially in its hinterland. Between sleepy old villages in stone, the eternal fortress and the mythic town, drive across countryside landscapes marked by history at the wheel of a Volkswagen Beetle restored by a family business.
The hilly roads of the island provide an ideal playground for the pretty convertible Beetles that await you. These perfectly restored myths from automotive history will lead you on a scenic foray. Behind the wheel, you will discover Fortica Fortress, overlooking the town of Hvar. It unveils breathtaking views over the old port and surrounding islands.
Further on, the historic little streets of Stari Grad, one of Europe’s oldest cities, are ideal to stroll around. Zlatni Rat, commonly known as the Golden Cape or Golden Horn, is a spit of land located about 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) west of the port town of Bol, on the southern coast of the Croatian island of Brac. There are powerful currents running through this area, which extends southwards into the Hvar Channel.

The island of Brac has many assets. Between its villages teeming with delights and the breathtaking views, discover this Croatian pearl in a Pinzgauer, a vintage all-terrain military vehicle, which will plunge you into the island’s scenery and best-kept secrets.
From Bol, a very popular seaside resort on the island of Brac, head off in a Pinzgauer towards wilder sites. First stop: Vidova Gora, the island’s summit, from which you will be able to admire - as far as the eye can see - the pretty little ports and constellations of crystal-clear coves that border enchanting and infinite landscapes.
Through the maquis scrub, the olive groves, cliffs and quarries famous for their white stone used since Antiquity, you will drive towards the village of Škrip, for a delicious visit of the Olive Oil Museum followed by a tasting.

This circuit combining nature, fauna and history will enable you to discover some of the most beautiful islands in the Adriatic.
According to legend, Istria was supposed to be a garden made in the image of heaven, but the Devil decided otherwise and scattered rocks all over the territory. The angels gathered the remaining pieces and created the islands of Brijuni. You will travel to the largest island by boat. You will then take a little tourist train and explore the vestiges of a Roman villa rustica from the 1st century BC in Verige Bay.
You will visit a safari park where you will be able to see zebras, Somali sheep, dromedaries, lamas and elephants. Finally, you will enjoy some free time before taking the boat again.

Teeming with spectacular monuments, little squares bathed in sunshine, and small and intimate cafés, the streets of Pula offer a perfect blend of history and authenticity.
The port city, sunny, multicultural and brimming with history, seems to have found the ideal recipe for halting the passage of time. Its glorious Roman past reappears among its streets with, at the centre, the impressive and still admirably preserved amphitheatre around which the entire city seems to revolve. Today, the Arena, using its Roman name of course, is the world’s sixth-largest Coliseum and would be enough by itself to remind visitors of the splendour of the Roman Empire; however, this does not take into account all the other sublime vestiges scattered around the city.
The Roman Forum, the Temple of Augustus, the Golden Gate and various markets will delight fans of history and timeless beauty. The old town will also offer you a glimpse into the opulence of the Byzantine Empire and the Venetian Republic, which both came here, attracted by the incomparable gentleness offered by this Adriatic pearl, which you will be able to experience yourself during a break for refreshments.

Fall under the charms of Hum, a small medieval town offering sublime panoramas over the surrounding countryside, then discover the buon fresco technique in Roc.
A minibus will take you to Hum, a small fortified town in the middle of Istria perched on a hill overlooking the Mirna Valley. Admire its medieval architecture, its ramparts to the west, and the houses built in the defensive walls of the other sides of the town. A bell tower and a watchtower constructed in 1552 to ensure the town’s defences are still visible. With a population of only 28 people, Hum holds the title of smallest town in the world. You will visit the recently opened Museum of Hum Aura, which provides a glimpse into how people used to live. You will taste an Istrian brandy and local products.
You will then go to Roc and visit the Freska-Vidovic art workshop, where Hari Vidovic will introduce you to the fresco-painting technique known as buon fresco. The visit will end on a high in the medieval churches of St Anthony and St Roch, which are home to magnificent 14th- and 15th-century frescoes.

From Piran, head to the famous Postojna Cave and enjoy an extraordinary subterranean exploration.
From the bus station, the bus will take the scenic road to the cave. You will make your way into the depths of the cave to discover its mysterious chambers and its fascinating formations, including stalactites and stalagmites.
The Postojna Cave is the only karst cave equipped with an underground railway, built over 140 years ago. Over the course of a 1.5-hour guided visit, you will discover these major karst features: Neboticnik (skyscraper), the tallest limestone formation, reaching 16 metres (52 feet) in height, Briljant (brilliant), the crystal-white symbol of the Postojna Cave, and the oldest underground post office in the world.
Gaze in wonder at the stunning stalactites and stalagmites that adorn the cave's chambers, creating a magical and otherworldly atmosphere.

Day 1 -Venice

Day 2 - Venice
After breakfast, you will leave your hotel by boat to explore some of the hidden gardens of the city, learn their history and find out what prompted the locals to create gardens in such a challenging environment. Gardens in Venice come as a surprise: although many of the palaces have their own small, private garden, when wandering around it is easy to get the impression that Venice is a city of stone.
The first stop is Nani Bernardo Palace, opened especially for a private visit. Designed by the architect Vittoria and commissioned the Bernardo family, the palace was built in the mid-16th century with a beautiful Italian garden. On the other side of the Grand Canal, you will then enjoy a private visit of Palazzo Malipiero.
Initially built in a Byzantine style, it has undergone some modifications over the centuries. The adjacent Italian-style garden with a view of the Grand Canal, a rarity in Venice, makes it even more distinctive.
Like many others, this garden was created in the late 18th century, when the large palace gardens situated on the outskirts of the city disappeared because of residential and industrial development.
You will then be transferred by boat to Sant’Erasmo. While this is the largest island in the Venetian lagoon, it is only sparsely populated. For years this has been Venice’s countryside, the agricultural zone which produces the fruit and vegetables consumed by the city-dwellers. Its artichokes are particularly renowned. You will take a walk through the vineyards of the Cantina Orto di Venezia estate, before tasting three vintages of locally produced Orto, a white wine full of this special island’s unique character. This wine is made from ancient Italian grape varieties; the vines are cultivated using traditional and eco-friendly methods. Driven by their passion and tenacity, the Thoulouze family have managed to recreate the ancestral methods of drainage using the natural tides of the lagoon.
Orto is a white wine with a high mineral content and a flavour that reflects its terroir. It can be drunk on any occasion but goes especially well with the products of the Venetian lagoon: fish, artichokes, and asparagus. It was recently named the best Italian Malvasia vintage.
After the visit, you will take a boat ride to Mazzorbo, a rural island connected to Burano by a wooden pedestrian bridge. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will return to Venice where you will learn the art of mask making.
Venetian masks have been worn in Venice since ancient times. They have a long history of protecting their wearer’s identity during promiscuous or decadent activities, such as gambling in one of the many casinos that dotted the city. The art of mask making is one of Venice’s oldest handicrafts. Guided by the desire to keep this traditional art form alive, a famous Venetian mask-making workshop will welcome you for a course in mask decoration including theory and practice. Once you have selected the type of mask you wish to decorate, you will choose among the different decorating techniques available and combine them to make your own one-of-a-kind Venetian mask.
The experts on hand will explain the ancient technique of making a Venetian papier-mâché mask, providing important historical information on the use of masks in Venice over past centuries, together with an explanation of the most significant models. At the end of the course, you will get to keep the mask you decorated, as a memento of this unforgettable experience.
You will return to your hotel by boat, to enjoy the rest of the day and evening at your leisure.
Day 3 - Venice
Breakfast at your hotel, morning at leisure and check-out.
You will then visit a tavern to enjoy a cooking lesson and learn the secrets of Venetian cuisine. With the chef’s guidance and supervision, you will create typical local dishes as you learn more about the culture and cuisine of the region. At the end of the lesson, you will eat what you prepared and toast to this memorable experience.
You will then be transferred by boat to the pier of Venice to embark on board your ship.

Once arriving, you will start your walking tour of the old town.
You will begin with the Episcopal Complex of the Euphrasian Basilica in the historic centre of Porec. The group of religious monuments in Porec, where Christianity was established as early as the 4th century, constitutes the most complete surviving complex of its type. The basilica, atrium, baptistery and Episcopal palace are outstanding examples of religious architecture, while the basilica itself combines classical and Byzantine elements.
This complex was enrolled in the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1997.

From the pier, follow your guide and start your walking tour of the historical centre of Rovinj. The historical centre is almost entirely built on a rocky island and connected to the mainland since the 13th century. During your tour, you will discover the Venetian influence and its rich cultural legacy, omnipresent in the architecture of the tall houses with warm red tiled roofs and the narrow streets intersected by covered passageways and archways, decorated with ancient frescoes.
The highlight of your visit will most certainly be the Church of Saint Euphemia, a prestigious building dating from the 8th century. Its 63-metre high bell tower rises out of the city centre, and is the most remarked symbol in the Istria region.
Built on the ancient ruins of a Roman church, it was altered in the 17th century in the Baroque style, and houses the relics of Saint Euphemia. They were brought from Constantinople in the 9th century for their safekeeping in a marble sarcophagus. There is also a mural depicting the life and the martyrdom of the saint. Every year on 16 September, the faithful gather around her tomb.
The church contains several treasures and works of art like Gothic statues from the 15th century and paintings from the 16th and the 17th centuries (The Last Supper and Christ in the Gethsemane).
At the end of your visit, you will enjoy a local snack before returning to your ship.

From the pier, you will enjoy a walking tour starting with the Old Town. The Old Town of Split is built on and around the Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian (born in Salona - todays Solin) in the 4th century.
You will see, from outside, the Cathedral of St. Duje (patron saint of the city). According to medieval sources, Archbishop John of Ravenna purified the mausoleum of Diocletian in 650 while getting rid of its idols and founded the Cathedral whose bell tower is now the symbol of Split. The Cathedral is built on the remains of an ancient shrine and is supposed to be the oldest in the world.
Then, you will see, from outside,the Temple of Jupiter, turned into a baptistery by the Christians. Cross the Palace from the southern gate to the North door and discover the ramparts and the immense 'statue of Gregory of Nin' by the Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic.
After the walking tour, you will board your coach and drive to the Stella Croatica Ethno village, a 25-minute drive.
Upon arriving at Klis Village, you will walk through the orchard and olive grove on a winding stone path going through the middle of the garden and further through the aroma park. The ethnographic collection is stored in one part of the village and organized according to the way of life at that time, unit by unit. You will discover the basic parts of the house with all the furniture and equipment that is stored there: fireplace, wine Cellar and bedroom.
You will be able to learn more about olive oil and its benefits - how to recognize a good olive oil. You will taste two sorts of oil - extra virgin olive oil and oil obtained by squeezing olives. Enjoy snack of local products made at Stella Croatica.
Finally, you will return to your ship.

On this tour, discover nature's wonders: the Krka National Park and its famous waterfalls. A natural frontier between northern and central Dalmatia, the Krka River joins the Adriatic Sea at Sibenik.
From the pier, board your coach for a 45-minute scenic drive to Lozovac entrance. Skradinski Buk, the largest waterfall of the national park, located on river banks, houses mills and wash houses. Upon your arrival, you will have the opportunity to discover the ethnological museum.
Located in the park, the museum provides a great deal of knowledge and history explaining how the park became a wildlife sanctuary for many different species of animals and plant life.
You will then discover the old water-mill where cereals are still ground by water-spun grindstones.

After the short walk (15 minutes) from the port to the Old Town you will start with the walking portion of the tour.
The Old Town of Split is built on and around the spectacular Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian (born in Salona - todays Solin) in the 4th century. The walking tour starts with a visit of the Palace on the ground gallery that is still very well preserved. It offers a good view at how the life in the Palace was organised.
You will also visit the very interesting Cathedral of St. Duje (patron saint of the city). According to medieval sources, Archbishop John of Ravenna purified in 650 the mausoleum of Diocletian by getting rid of its idols and founded the Cathedral whose bell tower is now the symbol of Split.
The Cathedral is built on the remains of an ancient shrine and is supposed to be the oldest in the world. A visit will also be made to the charming Temple of Jupiter, turned into the baptistery by Christians. Observe the front panel or the ceiling with grotesque faces. Cross the Palace of the southern gate to the North door and discover the ramparts and the immense "statue of Gregory of Nin" by the Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic.
After the walking tour you will head back to the ship. If you wish to spend some time on your own, you can visit the colourful open market (largest on the coast) or spend some time in the town before returning to the ship.

This small and charming town is located around a natural port and it is undoubtedly one of the most famous seaside resorts of Dalmatian coast.
A lot of splendid monuments as the Cathedral, the ancient Arsenal and different palaces are bearing witness to a rich history of Gothic and Renaissance arts.
From the pier, follow your guide through narrow tiny streets to the 15th century Franciscan Monastery. The cloister with its rounded arches and a well in the middle dominates the Renaissance monastery. The former spacious refectory and a small, adjacent room have been turned into the monastery museum. Along with a collection of old books and coins, the famous "Last Supper", a work belonging to the Venetian School of Palma the Younger from the end of the 16th century, has the strongest claims on the attention of the numerous visitors.
After crossing the main square, you will pass by the Cathedral of Saint Stephan (outside visit). It was built in stages during the 16th and 17th centuries, while the interior was not wholly completed until the 18th century. From outside, it has the characteristics of the Renaissance style and inside the baroque style.
Then, you will visit the Benedictine Monastery, which holds a rich collection of lace made of agave leaves.
After this walking tour you may follow your guide back to the pier or stay in town for some time at leisure.

Take a train to the Golden Horn, where you will able to sunbathe and make the most of the crystal-clear waters.
Stretch out on your lounger in the shade of a parasol and let your gaze wander over the dazzling white pebble beach. Behind you, the lush pine grove provides a little coolness. Zlatni Rat, commonly known as the Golden Cape or Golden Horn, is a spit of land located about 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) west of the port town of Bol, on the southern coast of the Croatian island of Brac. There are powerful currents running through this area, which extends southwards into the Hvar Channel.

The island of Brac has many assets. Between its villages teeming with delights and the breathtaking views, discover this Croatian pearl in a Pinzgauer, a vintage all-terrain military vehicle, which will plunge you into the island’s scenery and best-kept secrets.
From Bol, a very popular seaside resort on the island of Brac, head off in a Pinzgauer towards wilder sites. First stop: Vidova Gora, the island’s summit, from which you will be able to admire - as far as the eye can see - the pretty little ports and constellations of crystal-clear coves that border enchanting and infinite landscapes.
Through the maquis scrub, the olive groves, cliffs and quarries famous for their white stone used since Antiquity, you will drive towards the village of Škrip, for a delicious visit of the Olive Oil Museum followed by a tasting.

According to legend, Istria was supposed to be a garden made in the image of heaven, but the Devil decided otherwise and scattered rocks all over the territory. The angels gathered the remaining pieces and created the islands of Brijuni. You will travel to the largest island by boat. You will then take a little tourist train and explore the vestiges of a Roman villa rustica from the 1st century BC in Verige Bay.
You will visit a safari park where you will be able to see zebras, Somali sheep, dromedaries, lamas and elephants. Finally, you will enjoy some free time before taking the boat again.

Teeming with spectacular monuments, little squares bathed in sunshine, and small and intimate cafés, the streets of Pula offer a perfect blend of history and authenticity.
The port city, sunny, multicultural and brimming with history, seems to have found the ideal recipe for halting the passage of time. Its glorious Roman past reappears among its streets with, at the centre, the impressive and still admirably preserved amphitheatre around which the entire city seems to revolve. Today, the Arena, using its Roman name of course, is the world’s sixth-largest Coliseum and would be enough by itself to remind visitors of the splendour of the Roman Empire; however, this does not take into account all the other sublime vestiges scattered around the city.
The Roman Forum, the Temple of Augustus, the Golden Gate and various markets will delight fans of history and timeless beauty. Fall under the charms of Hum, a small medieval town offering sublime panoramas over the surrounding countryside, then discover the buon fresco technique in Roc.
A minibus will take you to Hum, a small fortified town in the middle of Istria perched on a hill overlooking the Mirna Valley. Admire its medieval architecture, its ramparts to the west, and the houses built in the defensive walls of the other sides of the town. A bell tower and a watchtower constructed in 1552 to ensure the town’s defences are still visible. With a population of only 28 people, Hum holds the title of smallest town in the world. You will visit the recently opened Museum of Hum Aura, which provides a glimpse into how people used to live. You will taste an Istrian brandy and local products.
You will then go to Roc and visit the Freska-Vidovic art workshop, where Hari Vidovic will introduce you to the fresco-painting technique known as buon fresco. The visit will end on a high in the medieval churches of St Anthony and St Roch, which are home to magnificent 14th- and 15th-century frescoes.

Explore the forest trails of Istria’s eastern coast by quad and enjoy spectacular views over the Bay of Raša.
The safari will start in the picturesque village of Draguzeti, near Barban. You will be given information about the itinerary and driving the quad and then hop on the vehicle. From Piran, head to the famous Postojna Cave and enjoy an extraordinary subterranean exploration.
From the bus station, the bus will take the scenic road to the cave. You will make your way into the depths of the cave to discover its mysterious chambers and its fascinating formations, including stalactites and stalagmites.
The Postojna Cave is the only karst cave equipped with an underground railway, built over 140 years ago. Over the course of a 1.5-hour guided visit, you will discover these major karst features: Neboticnik (skyscraper), the tallest limestone formation, reaching 16 metres (52 feet) in height, Briljant (brilliant), the crystal-white symbol of the Postojna Cave, and the oldest underground post office in the world.
Gaze in wonder at the stunning stalactites and stalagmites that adorn the cave's chambers, creating a magical and otherworldly atmosphere.
