Further south, Klaipeda, formerly known as Memel, the main port town in Lithuania, is separated only by a narrow channel from the Curonian Spit, a UNESCO Heritage.
Your ship will call at Gdansk, famous for its amber stone and its shipyards, before reaching the charming town of Ronne, on the small Danish island of Bornholm, which is popular with the Danish for its variety of landscapes ranging from granite to sandy beaches.
After calling at the seaside resort of Travemünde, a favourite destination of travellers since the 19th century due to its kilometres of beach and its charming fishing port, Le Champlain will sail towards the Danish capital, Copenhagen.
On the final leg of your trip you will call at Gothenburg, in Sweden. The country’s main port, the city can be discovered via its pretty canals, cultural treasures and emblematic districts.

Discover Karlskrona on the southern coast of Sweden, between land and sea, spread over the small islands of the Blekinge archipelago. Its strategic position on the Baltic Sea made it the headquarters of the Swedish Royal Navy and its naval dockyard on the orders of King Karl XI of Sweden, in 1680. Constructed from nothing, the citadel has kept its architecture, whose coherence and conservation have today earned its listing as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its authentic colourful wooden houses facing the sea - which is never too far away - and its rich naval history give it an exquisite and unique charm. Do not miss this visit.

The museum was created in 1958 by Knud W. Jensen, who commissioned architects Wilhelm Wohlert and Jørgen Bo to spend a few months walking around the property to decide how a new construction would best fit into the landscape. This study resulted in the first version of the museum consisting of three buildings connected by glass corridors. After disembarkation procedures are completed, you will be greeted at the port by our local English-speaking representative.
First, you will enjoy a guided visit of Oslo by foot, passing through the City hall, the national theatre, the Royal Palace, Karl Johan main street, university of Oslo or parliament building and Oslo opera.
With your guide, you will learn more about history of the norwegian capital city, but also about its evolution through the times and the differents actions taken to be a more sustainable city.
Following this visit, you will be transferred to Fram museum, located on Bygdøy peninsula.
The guided visit of this museum, inaugurated in 1936, will take you back in time to discover the great polars explorations leaded by norwegian expeditions.
You will be able to embark onboard the Fram, a ship built for Fridtjof Nansen and having subsequently been used for the expeditions of Otto Sverdrup and Roald Amundsen, and whose interior is preserved in its original state of design.
